Westman Atelier Lit Up Highlighter Stick Review

Westman Atelier Highlighter Stick Review

Westman Atelier is a brand that I've been curious to explore for a while but the products are pricey and when you have so much makeup, it's sometimes hard to justify buying more products when they are expensive and you don't really know if you'll like them. I like to see reviews from people who I think have similar taste to me and so I waited. Then Jodie did a review of the highlighter stick in the shade Brulée and it looked stunning on her so that immediately went onto my wishlist. A little while later, she shared a link to the Christmas gift set of a duo of highlighter sticks, which are not full size but also not the same price as the full sizes, so I bit the bullet and bought it and want to share my thoughts with you today.

It's no secret around these parts that I love a fresh, dewy look to the skin and I find that cream or liquid cheek products really give that juicy look that I love! Because I have dry skin, I find that in winter powder products can sometimes just miss the mark when it comes to my complexion.

These sticks are multi-purpose as they can be used on the cheeks, lips and eyes. They have a gel texture and I find it best to run my brush over the stick and then apply to my face, rather than applying the stick directly to my face but it's whatever suits you best.

The two shades in the set are Brulée and Nectar, which can be bought individually. Brulée is an almost bronze shade, which I like to use as a blush/highlight whereas Nectar is a light peach and strictly a highlight shade for me. Brulée is nice on the lids too as it has some depth but can be sheered out for a very natural look. They both add dewiness to the skin without making it look like I'm sweating! I just love the flush of colour that I get with this duo - my complexion instantly goes from drab to fab! I can pair Nectar with other blushes and it pairs well with Brulée but if I had to only repurchase one, it would be Brulée ads it works as a blush and highlight combined. The gel texture means that they blend seamlessly into the skin and I also love that they feeling hydrating - perfect for the colder months.

If you have tried any products from this brand, I would really love to hear your recommendations!
