Have you entered my Ecooking beauty bundle here?
I love that so many brands that used to only be available in the U.S. are now easily accessible to those of us on this side of the Atlantic now. One that I was really happy to see reach our shores, was Scott Barnes as I've lusted after his brushes for quite a while now. In case you weren't aware, his products are now available from Look Fantastic and Feel Unique. The palettes are expensive and I really don't need any new palettes so I stuck to just buying some brushes but are they worth the hype/price?
I started with two eye brushes and then quickly added one more eye brush and four face brushes to my collection because the quality is so good. I have a feeling that I will be adding more and more as I declutter my current collection (to be fair, I've had some of my current brushes for 5/6 years!). Super soft doesn't even begin to describe these brushes - lots of my brushes over the years have felt soft but none compare to these. I wish they were available in stores so that everyone could feel them - as odd as that sounds!
Eye Blender Brush: This brush is tapered and it fits into the crease perfectly. It's so soft and so easy to blend eyeshadow, even if you've been a bit heavy-handed - just keep blending and this brush will do all of the work! I think this is the perfect brush for experienced and inexperienced makeup users alike as it just makes the job so easy. This will be a non-negotiable in my collection from now on and I'll buy a backup soon! Use the code LYMIN to receive 20% discount.
Eye Fan Brush: Again, this is a soft brush and it's unlike any other eye brush I own due to its fan shape. Scott says it can be used to contour the nose and, he's right - it's actually perfect because it doesn't pick up too much product and it blends so easily, which makes it brilliant for making contour look natural or 'snatural' as Scott himself says. It's also ideal for using to do a one sweep shadow on the eyes as the shape covers the mobile lid and crease. If you want to buy it, don't forget to use the code LYMIN at checkout.
Eye Winger Brush: I love this brush because it fits into the crease really well but also due to its shape, it's very easy to create a smoked outer-v look. This brush is particularly helpful if you have small eyes as smoking the outer V isn't always easy if you don't have a large area to play with. Again, you can save 20% by using the code LYMIN at checkout.

Ultimate Brush: I hesitated about buying this brush because I am happy with my foundation brush(es) and sponges and wondered if it would be much different to other stippling brushes. IT IS! It contains both straight and wavy bristles so it applies products beautifully and without a streak in sight. I have tried it with cream foundation, liquid foundation, watery-textured products, cream blush, primer, powder and more and ALL apply evenly and beautifully. This is 100% worth the price. If you're travelling and want to minimise the brushes you take, this will work for so many products with a spot clean in between. I am sooooooo glad that I bought it, especially as I really didn't think I needed it. You need this! Save 20% by using the code LYMIN at the checkout.
Flawless Face Brush: The brush names make quite the statement from 'Ultimate' to 'Flawless Face' - Scott certainly couldn't be accused of being unsure of himself, but I have to say that the brushes live up to the names! This is a bevelled, fan-shaped brush - a regular fan shaped brush is nice for applying highlighter but this one is denser and is ideal for contouring and general bronzing. I also use it as a finishing brush to make sure everything is blended and that there are no harsh lines along my jaw/cheeks/temples. You know the drill, if you want to save 20% use the code LYMIN at the checkout.
Sheer Powder Brush: Another really soft brush and with its fan shape, it's ideal for highlighter, for applying a light amount of powder to the under eye area or for a very light application of powder all over the face. I find it brilliant for using with very pigmented bronzers, such as the Hourglass one, as it means I don't end up looking like an oompa loompa! Save 20% by using the code LYMIN at the checkout.

Good Face Brush: This is one pricey brush! I use it to apply powder but also bronzer down my neck and highlighter across my collar bone etc. It makes it so quick and easy to do this and I know I'll use it more in summer when my limbs are out. It's super soft, yet densely packed and an all round pleasure to use. That being said, given the price, I would say that if you were only going to buy one brush from his range or were wondering which brush to start your collection with, this wouldn't be top of my list. Don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous brush but I think that the other two face brushes stand out from what else is on the market. Again, the code LYMIN works to save 20% on this brush too!
All of the brushes wash well and, thankfully, I haven't experienced any shedding. Given the price, I am hoping that these brushes will last a few years, at least. I will definitely be adding more brushes to my collection as I replace others that have seen better days.
In answer to my question if Scott Barnes brushes are worth the hype/money? It's a 'hell, yes' in case you hadn't guessed already! In case it isn't clear, this is not a sponsored post and I bought all of the brushes myself. If I didn't have a 20% saving, I probably wouldn't have bought so many so quickly!

Have you tried any brushes from this brand or any of his palettes? I'd love to hear any recommendations.....
