I've been a fake tan fan for years and have tried almost every brand on the market from budget to high end, with very mixed results. Because I have dry skin, I tend to favour lotions over mousses as the latter are generally more drying. I always like a guide colour so that I can see where I am applying the product and I always make sure to exfoliate well before application to ensure an even colour. I'm pretty fussy when it comes to tan because I don't want to look orange (or green toned!), I want it to be easy to apply, to fade evenly and last a good 5 days. I have found a tan that ticks all of those boxes, and more! Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse is the answer to all of my tanning prayers!
For a long time, I have been loyal to Xen Tan and Bondi Sands but last month I had the urge to try something different. Loving Tan had been on my radar for a few years after seeing some youtubers rave about it but it's difficult to get hold of this side of the Atlantic so when I saw it stocked on TRNDBeauty I decided to go for it! There is an Express version available but I am always skeptical about those so I went for the regular version, which is available in 3 shades: Medium, Dark and Ultra Dark. I chose Ultra Dark because I felt that would suit my colouring best and I am delighted with how it has worked for me.
This tan ticks my boxes when it comes to ease of application - it's impossible to get streaks with it. The mousse glides on very evenly and easily and the guide colour ensures that I don't miss anywhere. It doesn't have any discernible scent and it is the fastest drying tan that I have tried, which is brilliant and I don't feel like I will stick to the sheets when I use it. It looks pretty dark when applied but the next morning when I wash the guide colour off, I am left with a deep, golden tan - not at all orange. I also haven't found it to be drying on my skin (I moisturise daily though), which in turn means that it fades evenly - I hate when a tan is patchy! What I love most about this tan is that it lasts for a good seven days, possibly a little longer but I have my regular tanning day so I don't tend to leave it any longer than that.
I am the happiest I have been with my tan in a long time - even sweat doesn't seem to affect it so I think it would be ideal for gym-goers or for using before a sun holiday if you like to do that (I personally don't). My only bugbear with it is the price as it never seems to be on offer and I only get 4 full body applications per bottle. That said, I have already repurchased because I love it no other tan comes close at the moment!
If you usually find tans tricky to apply or only wear it on special occasions, I would highly recommend investing in Loving Tan Deluxe Bronzing Mousse because it's as close to a natural tan as you will find on the market and is just as good as a spray tan in terms of colour and longevity.
Are you a fan of fake tan? What's your favourite? I'd love to hear!
