Happy New Year! It's that time of year when I reflect on which products I reached for the most over the previous 12 months. Usually I do separate categories, plus a discoveries post but this year I want to keep it concise and just do my top 10 products of 2024. It's not easy to narrow it down to just 10 products to include skincare, haircare and makeup but I just looked at what I used most consistently in my routines. I would also love to hear your favourite products of the year!
2. Ayuna The Facial High: I love using an acid exfoliator and this is one of the most effective ones I have tried. It contains Succinic, Glutamic Alpha Amino and Acetic Acids, so it's pretty active but my sensitive skin hasn't reacted badly at all at any stage of using this. The texture is like a toner-serum hybrid and it leaves some residue on the skin initially, almost a gentle foam, but this soon dissipates. I find that when I use this regularly, my skin looks clear with refined pores and less texture. It also helps with the appearance of fine lines. Overall, it's a superb product and one that I will repurchase.
3. Farmacy Honey Halo Ultra-Hydrating Ceramide Moisturiser: I was initially sent this and then repurchased because I love it so much! It's pretty rich in texture yet absorbs quickly and it really hydrates and replenishes my dry skin. I love how bouncy my skin looks when I use this and it's particularly perfect for the colder months.
4. Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer: Completely dependable, brilliant at banishing dark circles and areas of redness in one swipe and doesn't feel heavy on the skin! It's also crease resistant and despite offering a lot of coverage, it looks natural on the skin. Try it if you haven't yet!
5. Parfums De Marly Delina: This is officially my favourite perfume! I own over 60 fragrances but this is the one that I get complimented on the most and one of a few that I have repurchased a number of times. It's fruity and floral, sweet but not sickeningly so, definitely not too cloying. It has notes of lychees, rhubarb, rose and musk amongst others and is very unique. I also find that it lasts really well on the skin and even longer on coats and scarves!
6. Pixi Beauty Endless Silky Pen: I have very watery eyes and most liners don't last on the upper lash line, or they transfer, which I don't like. This liner is one that I repurchased this year after previously being sent one. I know that I can depend on this to stay put for hours and hours on end. The texture isn't too hard so I don't need to worry about poking my eye out and I love tightlining as I feel that it makes my lashes look fuller.
7. Armani Luminous Silk Bronzing Powder: I have quite a few bronzers but that didn't stop me buying this one last summer. I adore it - it's so finely milled and applies seamlessly to the skin for a very natural bronzed look. It would be pretty much impossible to have dark patches or streaks with this! 8. Color Wow Dream Coat: If you have frizzy or unruly hair, you need this in your life! I've been using it for a few years and it's a constant repurchase because I know that my hair will be sleek when I use it. It's a liquid that is misted on to the hair before drying and styling. 9. Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Gel: This is another regularly repurchased product that I love. 10. Omorovicza Midnight Radiance Mask: I'm so worried that this may be going out of stock because I found it difficult to find a link! This is a product that I know I can depend on for a good skin day. I apply at night (it's a gel formula but not overly sticky) and the ingredients leave my skin looking translucent and feeling smooth. It contains salicylic acid, which penetrates the pores to clear them of any sebum or spots that may be brewing, red alga and sodium hyaluronate, both of which help to lock moisture into the skin. It's such a staple product for me!
