25 years of Pixi Glow....

25 years of Pixi Beauty

When did you first hear about Pixi Beauty? I'd take a guess at most people getting to know the brand via their famous Glow Tonic that huge numbers of bloggers raved about back in the day! The brand has a vast array of products for all skin types too but also makeup too. It's been brilliant to see the brand go from strength to strength in the 25 years that it's been around. To celebrate, I was kindly sent a chest of Pixi products and I want to chat to you about them today... (oh and just so you know, they have 20% off for Black Friday!)
25 years of Pixi Beauty

The top layer of the chest features three bestselling skincare products and there are five makeup products in the bottom drawer. It really was a gorgeous treat to receive!

25 years of Pixi Glow

The iconic Glow Tonic is, of course, in the chest and I love it. I have had this in routine for around 14 years because it's gentle but effective. I find that my skin responds well to glycolic acid, which helps it to feel smooth and look fresh. I have dry skin, which is also quite sensitive and reactive, and I have never had an adverse reaction to this product. If you have super sensitive skin, it would be worth building up to daily use.

I always follow an acid tone with a face mist to balance the skin and I find Pixi's Hydrating Milky Mist excellent. It really hydrates and soothes the skin, which is ideal in the colder months or if you work in an air conditioned building, which I find can wreak havoc with the skin. It can be used throughout the day to hydrate the skin and just for a refresh. It contains hyaluronic acid, which attracts moisture into the skin and Black Oat Extract, which really helps to soothe the skin - ideal for inflamed skin.

The third skincare product in the chest is Rose Oil Blend, which contains a beautiful blend of sweet almond, jojoba, rosehip, rose geranium and pomegranate seed oils. This oil doesn't pill, it absorbs well and really helps improve the elasticity of the skin, leaving is plump and nourished!

Pixi Beauty Makeup Review

In the makeup drawer, there are a generous five products! The On-The-Glow Blush, which can obviously be used on the cheeks, but also on the lips. You apply either by directly swiping onto the cheek and then blending with your fingers or a sponge, or you can run a brush over the stick and then apply to the cheeks.  I already had two of these and love the fresh finish they give to the skin.

The Pixi + Hello Kitty Lip Tone is a pH reactive lip tint, which adjusts to your own lip colour to enhance it. I love this on no makeup days or for a natural look/minimal makeup day. It's similar to Dior Beauty Lip Glow.

Liquid Fairy Lights are a brilliant quick-fix answer to sparkly eyes - perfect for the upcoming party season! I love how cooling these feel on the lids and they are better than powder glitters as there is no fall-down.

Large lash mascara is one that adds volume, thickens and lengthens the lashes. It's also waterproof, which is ideal for those with watery eyes and oily lids (a delightful combination that I have!).

I love a liquid blush for a fresh, healthy look and find them particularly flattering on my dry skin, especially as the years go on! Sheer Cheek Gel is so easy to apply and blend with fingers and is long-lasting. It can be layered if you prefer a more intense look, or one application gives a flush of colour!

Are you a fan of Pixi Beauty? I'd love to hear what your favourite products from the brand are!
