Summer skincare favourites...

Summer has finally arrived and it's time to make some skincare switches. My skin type is dry, so the focus is still on nourishing however I tend to switch to products that are a bit lighter in texture whilst still delivering the moisture that my skin needs. I am also mindful of the fact that my SPF has to be able to absorb without pilling, so light layer of products are my go-to. Today I want to share my current summer skincare lineup with you.

For morning cleansing, I tend to switch from balms to mousse or cream textures. Evening cleansing will always involve an oil or balm (or both). My current go-to cleansers are Omorvicza Queen Cleanser, which is a cream product, or Lancôme Crème-Mousse Comfort*. Both are gentle on the skin, non-drying and feel refreshing, which is perfect for morning use. 

I'm currently using Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Oil Infused Serum instead of am essence or hydrating mist and it really helps to hydrate and soothe my skin. Also in the rotation are Sunday Riley C.E.O. Vitamin C Serum to help brighten my skin and improve elasticity, Image Ageless Total Hyaluronic Filler, which plumps the skin visibly as well as improving hydration, as it contains 6 forms of hyaluronic acid of different molecular weights that will ensure that fine lines are less visible. I can't resist a good serum, so I also have Lancôme Règenergie H.C.F. Triple Serum* in my rotation because it's quite simply, one of the best serums I have ever used. It is a tri-phase serum containing hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, niacinamide and ferulic acid, so it will hydrate, brighten, firm and regenerate the skin thanks to the delivery of ingredients in three chambers. This is the perfect product to use if you want a streamlined routine as it replaces the need for individual serums.

I noticed that a moisturiser I was using recently was pilling so I have cracked open a new refill of Lancôme Règenergie H.P.N. 300-Peptide Cream. This pairs beautifully with the serum and is packed with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and 300 types of peptides to reveal plump and youthful skin. With consistent use, I find that my skin looks firmer, more radiant and even in tone. The texture is quite rich but it absorbs quickly and easily, so I can still use it in the warmer months and a little goes a long way with it.

For eye cream, I'm using Garnier Vitamin C Eye Cream during the day and Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream at night. The Garnier one helps to brighten and depuff the under eye area and the Shiseido one does exactly as the name suggests and seems to make fine lines disappear, or at least look at lot less visible!

My top product for summer, to help depuff my entire face is ZIIP Halo*, which is a facial toning device that using both microcurrents and nanocurrents to stimulate collagen production, which in turn helps to rejuvenate the skin, making it look more youthful and lifted, but it also helps to reduce puffiness and give the face a more sculpted look. I tend to exfoliate and keep retinol use for night time and obviously, SPF is used daily (as it is all year round) and topped up throughout the day. I wish that I had used SPF daily from a much younger age but you live and learn!
