Armani Luminous Silk favourites

Armani Luminous Silk Review, Armani Luminous Silk Bronzer review, Armani Luminous Silk Liquid Blush review

If you're a regular around these parts then you will know that Armani Luminous Silk is my most repurchased foundation. I started using it in 2008 after Hydra Glow was discontinued (sob!) and have repurchased countless times. I then discovered the primer and now there are more products in the Luminous Silk line, so I obviously had to try them!  There are seven Luminous Silk products available and I have five (Sorry that there are only four in the above photo!), which I am sharing my thoughts on today. Before I get into the post, I want to let you know that you can save 21% on these products by using the code BEAUTYLYMIN at the checkout on Look Fantastic!

Luminous Silk Hydrating Primer: Some people skip primers but I'm firmly in the pro-primer camp! Because my skin is so dry, I just find that my foundation applies and sits better over a hydrating primer and this is a particularly gorgeous one. It has a lightweight texture, absorbs easily and hydrates beautifully. It also gives the skin a hint of luminosity without looking pearlised. I've already repurchased a few times.

Luminous Silk Foundation: My most worn, loved and repurchased foundation. I love everything about it - the medium coverage, which can be sheered out, the way it glides over textured or porous areas, the finish, which isn't too dewy but definitely makes skin look better, and the longevity. I find that this is one of those bases that I can apply and not even think about having to touch up for a good 8 hours minimum. It also feels weightless on the skin. What can I say? It ticks every box for me! Available in 40 shades, there's bound to be one for every skin tone.

Luminous Silk Glow Powder: I must admit that I don't use this as often as I expected - probably because I think the luminous finish of the foundation is enough for my taste without using a powder to add more glow, but that's just personal taste. I think that had I chosen a lighter shade, it would have made a beautiful highlighter. If you like seriously glowing skin, add this to your routine!

Luminous Silk Cheek Tint: Liquid blushes are definitely having a moment this summer! This has a doe foot applicator and you can either dot directly onto the cheeks or apply to the back on the hand and then apply to the skin with a beauty sponge, or even just pat it in with your fingers. I find that a little goes a long way and it's buildable, so start small! There are six shades available and I have my eye on three more (I lack self-control, clearly!). What I love about this blush is that it doesn't contain any glitter particles, however it does add some luminosity to the cheeks, really bringing the skin to life for a healthy look! It's super lightweight - ideal for summer, and also super long-lasting on the skin. It's still there after a good 10 hours. It's quite pricey so a cheaper alternative is the Maybelline Sunkisser Liquid Blushes, which I reviewed here. They're not exact dupes, but good alternatives.

Luminous Silk Summer Glow Bronzer: Lord knows I didn't need another bronzer in my life, but I just couldn't resist this one! I use bronzer every time that I wear makeup and know that this will last a long time because it contains a whopping 18g of product. Although it's a powder, it has an almost creamy texture, which means that it blends seamlessly into the skin. It instantly adds warmth to the complexion and is a true bronzer rather than a product that could be used for contouring because it has very, very fine shimmer particles in it, which help to add luminosity but wouldn't be suitable for adding definition. That being said, it doesn't highlight any texture or lines, it actually seems to blur them! It also works beautifully on the eyes. An all round winner in my opinion!

All of these products are going straight in my holiday makeup bag next week.

What I need to try: Luminous Silk Concealer and Luminous Silk Glow Blush. I don't know what I haven't tried them yet, but I am bound to love them. If you have tried either (or both), please let me know your thoughts!
