Why I think Victoria Beckham Beauty is exquisite and worth the money, Victoria Beckham Beauty review

I've always liked Victoria Beckham for her sense of humour and style (although the stuck on boob look wasn't a favourite of mine!) and whilst I don't own any of her fashion line (although I have my eye on her signature handbag), I've grown to adore her beauty line.  It took me a while to buy something after her launch - in fact, I don't think I bought anything until the brand was available on Cult Beauty (sadly no longer the case!). I now just buy directly from her site and everything always arrives well packaged and swiftly. I received a fragrance card with one of my orders and I have to say that I adored all three and will definitely be purchasing one (or two!) at some point because they are absolutely beautiful and well thought out scents that transport you to where they describe. Today we're focusing on her makeup products and why I'd encourage you to try something from the brand if you have yet to take the plunge!

The first thing you'll notice about Victoria Beckham Beauty products is the packaging. It looks and feels luxurious and some of the products are quite weighty. I love the tortoiseshell packaging - it's different from other brands and looks sleek and chic. Some products are housed in white packaging with the VB logo - classic and stylish.

I really like everything I've tried but some are more standout than others. My favourites are the Lid Lustres, which make lids look smooth and adda sophisticated shimmer. They are pressed shadows that can be applied either with your finger or a flat shader brush. I have three and reach for them a lot but haven't made a dent in them yet, so expect them to last quite a while.

In contrast, the Smoky Eye Brick is one of my least used products, although not a bad one. I find the shadows a little powdery compared to other palettes that I own, but it is an ideal product to pack when travelling with hang luggage only as it's tiny, or it would be good to take you from day to night after a day in the office and is small enough to fit in your handbag.

I love the EyeWear shadow sticks for days where I'm feeling lazy but want to look put together without too much effort. They glide on to the lid and blend in evenly and quickly. I also find them to last well on my oily lids!

Vast Lash Mascara ticks all of the boxes more me - it adds lots of volume, is very black, doesn't smudge nor make my lashes crispy, and is easy to remove! I find that the curved brush makes sure that every lash is coated, from root to tip, plus I like that it's buildable.

Another absolute winner are the Satin Kajal Liners, which have a beautiful texture, which makes them glide on. They have a smudger on one end and you can choose to add a (free) pencil sharpener to your order. Once applied, I find that you need to smudge quickly if you are going to because once set, they don't budge until makeup remover is applied.

The Baby Blade brow pencil is brilliant for mimicking the appearance of hairs and the fine nib is so easy to work with. I love that there is a spoolie on one end - an essential for all brow pencils, in my opinion!

Now onto the face products and I have to say that my absolute favourite product is the Matte Bronzing Brick. You can add some definition/contour, but also bronze with this product and the formula is so finely milled that it pretty much blends itself and it would be impossible to look muddy or streaky with this product. I adore it!

The Contour Stylus is perfect for precision contouring in areas like the nose, lips and chin. It also works well on the forehead and cheeks, depending on the look you're going for. Again, the formula is beautiful and melts into the skin but without disappearing - it just adds a natural shadow.

I haven't tried the highlighter stick, but do enjoy using the Cream Blush Stick. Because I have dry skin, I find that cream or liquid blushes make my face look more alive and juicy. This product is buildable and can be applied directly to the cheeks and blended, or by dabbing a brush on the stick and applying and building. The creamy formula is so easy to work with.

The final products are all lip products. There are four available from the brand and I've used all but the Bitten Lip Tint but not for any particular reason - I guess that it just didn't scream my name! The Lip Definer has the texture I like in a lip pencil - neither too dry that it drags on the lips, nor so soft that it smudges easily.  It lives up to its name and defines the lips, allowing you to overline if you wish. Posh Lipstick is creamy in texture, which makes it comfortable to wear and the pigmentation is spot on. I find that it will last around 3/4 hours before requiring a touch up. Finally, regular readers will know that I've always been a gloss girl at heart and the Posh Gloss doesn't disappoint! It gives a very high shine, glossy finish, isn't sticky and is comfortable on the lips. It also applies evenly to make the lips look smooth. An all round winner.

Overall, I just find that the products are amazing quality, easy to use and make applying makeup a pleasure as everything blends seamlessly and also lasts well on the face. I just love the brand (in case you couldn't tell already!).

I'm really looking forward to foundations and concealers being added to the lineup. I've yet to try the skincare and whilst it's pricey, I am intrigued by it so it may make an appearance on the blog at some point! There are some great sets available where you can make a saving by buying a bundle of products together, which might be an idea to get you started with the brand!

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Have you tried any VB products yet? What catches your eye the most?
