I'm going on holiday tomorrow and am soooo looking forward to relaxing by the pool with a good book and doing pretty much nothing for a week! A week in the sun much needed after a recent bout of pneumonia where I missed most of the beautiful weather here. Given that I'm recuperating, it's going to be.a very casual week but I still like to wear some makeup in the evening, to add some glow and life to my complexion! We've stayed in this hotel before and it's quiet, adults only and the perfect place to chill out - get me on that plane!
For my base, I'm taking Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter because some nights, just some concealer, bronzer and this will be fine for my base. When I want a bit more coverage, I'll be reaching for my trusty Armani Luminous Silk (use BEAUTYLYMIN at checkout to make a saving) because it gives medium coverage, glides over pores and doesn't budge. For concealer, I'm taking Hourglass Vanish Airbrush because it gives a flawless finish and will cover any redness, dark circles and if a blemish appears, that will be covered too!
I'm really into liquid and cream face products so will be using Rodial blush drops. I love combining Frosted Pink and Sunset Kiss. The mini sizes are perfect for travelling and. I love how they add some highlight as well as colour. For some added highlight, I'm taking Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Spotlight Beauty Wand because I love the soft champagne colour.
To bronze, it has to be Victoria Beckham Beauty Matte Bronzing Brick, which is simply beautiful and looks so natural on the skin. For powder, it has to be Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder and then a good mist of Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Spray. I love that I have so many travel sized makeup products!
For brows, it's Baby Blade from Victoria Beckham Beauty and Charlotte Tilbury Brow Fix. For eyes, I'm keeping it simple and will either use my bronzer or a Victoria Beckham Beauty Lid Lustre if I feel like I bit of sparkle. I'll skip liquid liner because my eyes are watery and lids are oily, add in the heat and it would be a recipe for disaster so I'll just go in with lashings of mascara; my choice being YSL Lash Clash, which adds lots of volume and drama.
For lips, I'm keeping it simple with just a nude option as that will always work, so it's Iconic Nude Lip Cheat from Charlotte Tilbury, Kim K-W lipstick (again from CT) and Buxom White Russian Full On Plumping Lip Polish.
When I think back to the amount of makeup that I used to take on holiday, I think this is pretty reserved (for me!). What about you? Do you go full glam or low key when you're away? I'd love to hear!
