Get your glow on with REN!

Get your glow on with REN!

REN is a cruelty free brand, suitable for all skin types but particularly those with sensitive skin. It's a market leader in its circular recycling ( all packaging is recycled, recyclable and reusable) and most products are vegan friendly. There are many ranges available and today I am focusing on the ones that help your skin to glow!

There are a number of products available to help the skin to glow and I want to start with PHA Exfoliating Facial*. This is a recently released product and is suited to even sensitive even though it's a physical scrub, combined with chemical and enzymatic exfoliants in the form of Pomegranate Enzymes and Powder. I will admit that I was a little hesitant before using it as I tend to prefer liquid exfoliants but I need not have worried because it is very gentle and the formula is very creamy rather than coarse. It's applied to a damp face, massaged into the skin in circular motions and then left to do its thing for two minutes before rinsing. It doesn't strip the skin at all because it contains shea butter and sunflower seed oil, which nourish the skin. Once rinsed, skin feels smooth to touch and looks more radiant and with continued use, texture is more even and skin looks less porous. Overall, this is a brilliant product for those with dull and textured skin who don't like liquid exfoliants and prefer to use something physical on the skin. It can also be used on the body although I don't think the tube would last very long!

Glycol Lactic Renewal Mask: The original resurfacing mask, which has been a cult classic for over 10 years and was on every blog and YouTube channel back in the day. I wouldn't recommend using this the same day of using the exfoliating facial as this is very potent, yet as someone with sensitive skin, I've never had a bad reaction to it - maybe just a slight tingle at times. It combines pineapple extract with pomegranate enzyme to create a powerful resurfacing mask, It has quite a sticky texture but isn't uncomfortable on the skin and once applied, is left for 10 minutes before rinsing. This product guarantees a better skin day for me because it really refines the pores, reduces texture and fine lines and skin overall looks glowing and radiant. Use once weekly for optimal results.

Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream: Those with dark circles will love this eye cream because it immediately brightens the area and helps to banish signs of fatigue (something I need a lot of help with!). It doesn't pill on the skin, is lightweight but still creamy enough to smooth fine lines. The biggest difference I can see is in terms of how fresh my under eye area looks but without the pearlised look, as some brightening eye creams give.

Are you a fan of REN? Which range do you like most? I'd love to hear your product recommendations!
