Budget beauty buys that I rate....

Budget beauty buys that I rate

I am aware that I feature a lot of luxury brands/products on my blog but believe when I say that I am very partial to a good bargain and I'm happy to use products from any brand once I know that they will work. Given that the majority of people are being more mindful of their money nowadays, it's great to see so many offerings from more reasonably priced brands on the market. Today, I want to share some of my favourites with you and I'd love to hear your recommendations too!

L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Laser Retinol Night Serum*: This contains 0.2% retinol, so it's a great introduction to the ingredient if you are new to it, particularly because it also contains hyaluronic acid, glycerin and three oils, so you won't get the usual initial dry and peeling effect on the skin. If your skin is super-sensitive but you want to try a retinol to combat the signs of ageing and improve the texture of your skin, you could try using it twice weekly initially and then more regularly from there but as an avid retinol user, I can use this nightly. I love the texture and it layers well with a moisturiser without any pilling.

L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Laser Retinol + Niacinamide Pressed Night Cream*: What a combination of ingredients - retinol for its anti-ageing benefits and niacinamide for improving skin tone, reduction of inflammation and the visibility of pores. Overall, with consistent use, skin looks healthier, brighter, more even and more youthful. I love the pump dispenser and the texture of the cream, which absorbs into the skin easily.  Years of research went into these two products and during trials, the majority of testers saw visible improvements in 10 days, which is incredible.

Garnier Vitamin C range*: Vitamin C is essential in my skincare routine because my skin is dry, and therefore naturally dull. It's an ingredient that can be hit and miss with my skin because it's also sensitive/reactive, however I have had no issues with the micellar water, sheet mask, serum and eye cream (there is also a moisturiser in the range too). I particularly love the serum cream because it feels hydrating on my skin - for those with oily skin, they may not need to follow up with a moisturiser but I do as my skin is so dry. I also love how brightening the eye cream is.

L'Oreal Paris Elvive Bond Repair Haircare range*: This range is a brilliant alternative to more expensive bonding haircare ranges (Olaplex and Redken ABC, for example). There is a pre-wash treatment, which strengthens the hair, a shampoo, conditioner and a leave in serum which also serves to strengthen the hair. I've recommended this range to so many people who have gone on to buy it and now love it and haven't strayed from it. It's often on offer in Boots and supermarkets too, so if you want to try the entire range, you should find a deal! If you have damaged hair, I'd really recommend giving it a try because the entire bundle costs less than just the pre-wash treatment from one of the other brands!

Revolution x Sali Hughes Range*: I did a full review of this range when it was first released almost two years ago here, followed by some more new releases here. I have repurchased some of the items and they are still regulars in my routine, particularly the cleansers - Butterclean makeup melting balm, and Clean Sheet for a morning cleanse. I would highly recommend checking this range out for a complete skincare routine.

Garnier Sheet Masks*: These sheet masks are hugely popular, and with good reason! They each contain  a bottle of serum, which makes them the perfect antidote for dull, dry or dehydrated skin. They some for a range of skin issues and are the perfect quick fix. They also leave a gorgeous residue of serum on the skin, which can be massaged in before following with the rest of your skincare routine.

Garnier Micellar Water*: Is there anybody who hasn't used this yet? If you don't like oil or balm cleansers, this micellar water is ideal for removing makeup/spf etc as your first cleanse or just as a quick morning cleanse. It is amazing to see how much product is left on the pad after swiping this all over the face - it's like a magnet. I also love that it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or stripped. An all round winner!

Garnier Ultimate Blends Hair Mask: I love these hair masks (they are multi-purpose but I tend to stick to using as a mask), because they are very affordable, you get a great big tub, which takes a long time to finish as a little goes a long way, and they work! They leave the hair feeling so soft, silky and strong and don't weigh it down. I have used a few of the different variations and it's hard to choose a favourite - it depends on your hair type, I guess. If you're in the. market for a new hair mask but don't want to spend a fortune, I really recommend trying these and they are often on offer too.

Soap & Glory: Who doesn't love some Soap & Glory? I adore the body butters but also the shower gels, hand creams and more. Apart from bath & body products, they also offer skincare and makeup, all at affordable prices and often on offer. I love the variety of scents in the bodycare range and would find it hard to choose my favourite! Do you have one?

I'd love to hear what your budget favourites are?
