Juicy skin and a new palette from Urban Decay...

Juicy skin and a new palette from Urban Decay, Urban Decay Hydramaniac review, Urban Decay Metal Mania Review & Swatches
I was kindly gifted all of these products, without obligation.

Urban Decay is a brand that I feel can often be overlooked for base products and best known for their eyeshadow palettes after all, they did start the neutral palette trend with their original Naked palette back in the day!  Their latest face and cheek releases are right up my street because I really love liquid and cream base products in winter to help me fake that glow! They've also released a new palette called Metal Mania, which has some neutrals but also some shadows that will see us well prepped fr the festive season!

Hydromaniac is a lightweight, hydrating tinted base that offers buildable coverage and a dewy finish. It's vegan, contains some oils, yet is long-lasting and is perfecting for dehydrated or dry skin, particularly if you like your skin to glow ( but not in a fake discoball way!).  It's available in 16 shades, which may not seem like very many but I find them to be quite adjustable. I have two shades, one of which I wear when I'm fake tanned and the other as my tan is wearing off but I think I could probably make it work with some bronzer to match my tanned body. I love that I can achieve even looking skin, with coverage, yet it doesn't feel like there is anything on my skin. I also love the juicy, healthy look that it gives even on dull skin days.

Urban Decay Hydromaniac Blush Glow Hydrator Review and Swatches
Top = Obsessed, Bottom = Rebellion

Combine that base product with the Hydromaniac Blush Glow Hydrator and you have the perfect healthy, fresh-faced cheek duo.  Available in six shades, this blush is also infused with oil and feels so hydrating on the skin, is pigmented but blends in easily. I love these so much that I think they're the ideal minimal makeup day product - they give the skin a natural flush of colour, so that combined with some concealer and mascara and it's job done! A little really does go a long way but if you feel like you've applied too much, just dab a beauty sponge over (especially if there's some foundation or concealer left on it) and dab it in. They can be applied directly to cheeks and blended in with either fingers or a brush, or applied to the back of the hand and applied from there. Whatever way you decide, if you like liquid blushes, you're on to a winner!

Naked Metal Mania Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Naked Metal Mania Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

Finally, the latest eyeshadow release: Naked Metal Mania Eyeshadow Palette. As with all palettes of this size from the brand, there are 12 shadows inside and a dual ended eyeshadow brush. The finishes range from matte to satin, to metallic and some sparkle too, which is why I think it will be ideal for the festive season. The pigmentation is as you'd expect  - top notch, with one swipe giving full coverage.

The texture is buttery soft and so blendable - no powdery mattes here!  I love that there are basic neutrals to create an everyday eye look, some shimmers to take you from day to night and then metallics for when you want to make a statement. I'll admit that I haven't worn the yellow yet but I'll find a way to make it work. The purple shade has seriously impressed me because it's a colour that is notoriously difficult to do well. I've been wearing a lot of cream shadows and shadow sticks in recent months but this palette has made me fall back in love with powders and want to make an effort with my eye makeup again. I also love that it has a matte black - an essential for all eyeshadow palettes, in my opinion!

Have any of the new releases caught your eye? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Available from Millies, Boots and Arnotts.
