This review has been a looooong time coming! This range was actually released in April and I was kindly gifted the four products, which comprise the entire line, but at the time I had a rash and could only use a cream that was specially made for me by my GP/local pharmacy. I also had some other skincare products to review before I could get stuck into these and my posting schedule has been a bit all over the place due to illness, but now that they are almost empty, I am finally ready to share my thoughts on one of the most hyped skincare releases of the year: the No7 Future Renew range.
Why is this range so hyped? 15 years of research at the University of Manchester have gone into this range and over 4000 women tested the products, with 79% reporting improvements in firmness, texture tone and hydration. It contains a super peptide blend, which is the biggest cosmetic scientific innovation in the history of No7. Peptides are very popular in well-ageing products as they support the skin's natural self repair process. The patented Peptcology™ used in this range contains a blend of peptides, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and niacinamide (a holy grail blend of ingredients), which is fantastic, as often have to buy 3/4 products to ensure all of these ingredients are in our routines. This blend targets hydration, tone, texture, elasticity and the production of collagen with the main aim being summed up as reversing the visible signs of skin damage.
As I said, there are four products in the range (I'm unsure if more will be added). They are:
Future Renew Damage Reversal Serum: Available in both 25 and 50ml, this serum has a light texture that absorbs quickly and easily. It layers well, doesn't feel tacky on the skin and doesn't pill when used with the moisturiser. If I could only buy one product from the line, it would be this because I always think that serums are worth the investment and they are hard-working.
Future Renew Eye Serum: This is so lightweight that it absorbs immediately upon application, however the hydrating results don't disappear. It's ideal for under makeup, as concealer won't settle into fine lines, as they are plumped up. It's surprising how nourishing it is, given how lightweight it is but this really has made a difference to my eye area (even when I've spent a lot of time crying after my cat died).
Future Renew Day Cream SPF40: This is my least favourite of the four products, but I still didn't dis-like it - just didn't love it as much as the others. It's not as emollient as I would like and it left a white cast on my skin initially, so it really does taking some working into the skin. I appreciate the SPF 40, however I still applied my own SPF over it. I suppose the texture just reminded me of SPFs back in the day that weren't easily absorbed, plus it felt a bit tacky on the skin. That said, I'm almost finished it so the issues weren't enough to put me off using it, I just wouldn't repurchase.
Future Renew Night Cream: In contrast, I love this night cream! I like a night cream to be rich and nourishing, but not to pill. This isn't a thick cream, yet it has a rich texture and it absorbs easily but I can feel the nourishment immediately and my skin has even felt hydrated in the morning, which isn't easy with my skin type - dry, like the Sahara! It doesn't feel greasy and your face won't stick to the pillow!
I have really enjoyed using these products, the serum is my favourite of the four, but I would recommend trying all four as it's the Peptcology™ in all of the products that will make a difference in terms of luminosity, texture and hydration.
If you have dull, dry, tired-looking skin that also includes the loss of elasticity, with an uneven texture and tone, then this is the range for you. If your skin ticks even three or four of those issues, then this range is well worth trying. No.7 products are currently on a 3 for 2 offer at Boots.
