I didn't actually plan on shopping the sales but there are really great bargains out there (and some sales have yet to even start!), and I basically have no willpower and couldn't resist. That said, anything I bought I know that I'll use and the prices were so good that it made sense to stock up. It's a while since I tried anything new from Urban Decay but it's rare that I'm disappointed by them. The original Naked palette (now discontinued) really did change the game when it came to neutral palettes and I hit pan on so many shades in it that I eventually had to bin it! Since then, there have been many additions to the Naked range and today I'm going to share my thoughts on the latest one, as well as their new multi-use concealer: Quickie.

Dermalogica is a brand that I have been using for 20 years (maybe a little more!). Before blogs, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, magazines were our go-to for beauty advice and I remember that Daily Microfoliant popped up in almost every issue. I was influenced and then hooked (and my husband is now hooked too!). Ever since then I have always had some Dermalogica products in my routine and exclusively used them and had their facials for 6 months before our wedding. I could easily pick my top 20 products from the brand, but decided to be really strict and narrow it down to my top five to share with you today. If you haven't tried the brand, I really urge you to and it would be a great idea to start with a face-mapping facial.
It will come as no surprise to regular readers that I love cleansing balms. I adore the texture but also the motion of massaging into my skin and breaking down my makeup/spf, or just to treat my skin to a massage and deep cleanse. The ritual is relaxing and a nice way to unwind at the end of the day. The first balm that probably springs to most minds is Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm, which I like to call an experience rather than a cleanser but I wanted to share five other balm cleansers that I highly rate with you today. I'd also love to hear your suggestions and favourites too!
Maybe I'm just getting lazy or maybe it's because it's summer and I don't want to spend very long doing my makeup, but I really like to use products that are quick and convenient. It seems that a lot of other people feel the same way because brands are releasing shadow sticks and I couldn't resist buying some!

I'm sorry for the break in posting again - what can I say except that I've been having (and continue to have) a really hard time with my health at the moment, which prevents me from doing things that I want to do and that will distract me, like blogging!
