Pre-wash hair repair and strengthening products for all budgets reviewed.....

Pre-wash hair repair and strengthening products for all budgets reviewed

I'm a bit of a haircare junkie because when I first became ill with Lyme, I lost around 50% of my hair (fortunately I had been blessed with A LOT of hair so although I was conscious of it, others wouldn't have known), but having Covid numerous times has really taken its toll on my hair. I have regrowth of a few inches, but then lost some density each time I've had Covid so my constant aim and mission is to strengthen the hair that I have to preserve it and also try to prevent losing any more through supplements and nutrients in my diet. I have three that I want to share with you today, one of which is a budget option.

Redken Acidic Bonding Concentrate: I started using this product late last year after my hairdresser used the range on my hair. I bought a set, which contained this product, the matching shampoo and conditioner and a leave in treatment. I could notice a difference in my hair immediately but as with all products of this type, it's with consistent use that you will really notice the difference - less breakage and fewer split ends. This product also protects your colour an seals cuticles on the hair, which makes it smooth and strong.  Currently reduced on Look Fantastic, plus my BEAUTYLYMIN code will give you a further saving.

Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector: This is a product that I have been using long before the pandemic and I have repurchased numerous times because I really feel a difference in my hair with it, particularly when used consistently.  It's always best to use preventative measures rather than cures - in this case, strengthening your hair rather than having to get a few inches chopped off regularly due to split ends! This is a best-selling product for a reason. It strengthens, hydrates and smoothes the hair for a swishy, hair salon finish. Save 21% by using my BEAUTYLYMIN code on Look Fantastic.

L'Oreal Elvive Bond Repair Rescue Pre-Shampoo: The budget option, but don't be fooled into thinking that it's less effective. This contains Citric Acid like the Redken option above, which coats the hair and protects the cuticles, leaving the hair smooth and strong. It smells amazing, and I have found that my hair is less knotty when I use this. Currently half price on Look Fantastic, plus you can save a little extra with my code BEAUTYLYMIN.

With all of these products, they are applied to damp hair and left for at least 15 minutes, but I find that leaving them in for around an hour helps them to work even more effectively. That being said, if time isn't on your side, even just applying in the morning before having breakfast and doing skincare, or in the evening while watching TV or making dinner etc, you won't regret fitting it in. We wear our hair every day and having it look good, feeling bouncy and elasticized will make you feel so much better.

Do you use a bond protector? I'd love to hear what your favourite one is!
