Christmas Gift Guide 2022: Fragrance & Candles

Christmas Gift Guide 2022: Fragrance & Candles

This is probably my favourite gift guide category because as much as I adore haircare, skincare, makeup etc, I wear perfume every day and I adore candles and diffusers, as scent really does lift my spirits, relax me, transport me to a moment in time, and so on. I can't imagine a day passing without wearing a fragrance or having a candle burning in my home - I light them all year round, although I love diffusers too. When I lost my sense of smell for months after one of the times I caught Covid, I still wore fragrance because I knew that I wanted to smell good even if I couldn't smell it myself! Basically, I'm a fragrance addict and if you're shopping for a fellow addict, today's post is for you! As always, anything marked with a * was kindly gifted, without obligation, and I am giving away some of these gifts to those who comment here on the blog and also follow and engage on Instagram.

Christmas Gift Guide 2022: Fragrance & Candles
Fragrance:

Cult Beauty: Unwrap Fragrance Edit: This is a great value set, with a saving of 60% on the RRP of the products. It's ideal for any fragrance lover because it contains two candles (one full size),  a room spray, a hair fragrance and 3 mini perfumes (although one of mine was smashed, but I could smell it in the box!).  If your budget allows (£70), this really is good value and it's nice to receive a variety of products.

Prada Paradoxe (refillable)*: I love that the bottle is in the shape of the brand's logo and the rose coloured fragrance is very pretty on my perfume stand, but apart from those things, this is also a beautiful fragrance. It will suit a variety of tastes because it has floral, fruity and musky notes. It opens quite fruity but as it settles, the warmth of the vanilla and musk come through, as well as the neroli. It's perfect for both day and night, all year round. Save almost 20% on Look Fantastic by using the code BEAUTYLYMIN.

Jo Loves Red Truffle 21: The perfect fragrance for this time of year, with notes of fig, pine, truffle and citrus. They combine to create the perfect balance that makes me feel festive, but not smelling like a Christmas tree! It's fresh, doesn't smell like toilet cleaner (as some pine fragrances do!),  makes me think of a cold, crisp winter's day and is sparkling!

Armani Privé Rose Milano Nacre: This is pricey, but definitely a real treat. Everything from the box in which it's presented (like a piece of jewellery), to the shimmering pink fragrance inside and the rose quartz effect lid screams luxury. I love rose fragrances, but this is not the old-school rose scents from back in the day. It's gentle, fresh, musky and also, obviously has authentic rose notes.  It's absolutely worth every cent if your budget allows.

Armani Si Passione Eclat*: A beautifully sparkling fragrance, containing notes of blackcurrant, rose, musk and vanilla. It's a feminine scent that is sophisticated and suitable for day and night. Will probably suit all tastes, apart from those who prefer a more masculine scent. Currently reduced on Look Fantastic but you can make an extra saving with the code BEAUTYLYMIN.

Aerin Amber Musk: I love this type of fragrance for the colder months! It's warm and comforting without being too heavy. The notes are obviously amber and musk, but also vanilla and coconut, which create a soft scent - perfect for cosy days. I adore this brand! Currently reduced on Look Fantastic, but you can save even more money by using the code BEAUTYLYMIN at checkout.

Viktor & Rolf Good Fortune (refillable)*: I know that Flowerbomb is the obvious choice from this brand, which I adore and love to receive as a gift, but this would make the perfect gift for fans of the brand because it's another statement fragrance! It's floral initially, but dries down to a creamy, warm scent that isn't overwhelming but is definitely noticeable and one that people will comment on. Beautiful bottle too! Save almost 20% on Look Fantastic by using the code BEAUTYLYMIN.

Candles:

Jo Loves Log Fires Candle: If you don't have an open fire in your house (which is becoming more and more rare these days), this creates that cosy atmosphere that you get from the fire. It's smokey, without being overwhelming or catching in your throat. Instead, it just gives that comforting feel of a fire with a beautiful log burning scent.

Jo Loves Christmas Trees Candle: This candle fills the room with fragrance as soon as you open the box and you feel like Christmas has arrived! It has the most beautiful, intricate design on the red jar, which I will definitely be keeping when I finish the candle. This would be an ideal gift for those who don't have a real tree in their home, as it smells as though you do, or for those who travel to be with family for the holiday season and don't put a tree up, this candle will make their home feel festive. An ideal gift for any Christmas lover!

Diptyque Neige: I look forward to the design of these candles every year and this one is probably the best yet as the stars on the jar glow in the dark! So pretty! The scent is unusual - balsamic, powdery and musky, so not quite a traditional festive scent but ideal for those who don't want their house to smell like pine, or who already have a pine candle. Pricey, but a real treat!

C.O. Bigelow Musk* (Moschus): A vegan, soy, hand-poured candle. This one isn't a festive scent, but I think that it's nice to buy candles that aren't just for the holidays because if you're buying for a candle lover, they'll probably use them all year round. The notes in this one are bergamot, orange, dianthus, amber and cedarwood, among others, which create a cosy, but not overly heavy fragrance.

Will you be buying for any fragrance lovers this Christmas? I'd love to hear what you'll be buying!
