Sali Hughes x Revolution skincare new releases

Sorry for the radio silence here on the blog - I have tendonitis in my rotator cuff and it's just so painful to do anything, and it is of course in my right arm, which I use to do everything! I'm on anti-inflammatories and having physio, so hopefully it will ease soon!

Today, I want to share the latest releases from the Sali Hughes x Revolution skincare range. I reviewed her initial launch a few months ago here, and have finished all but one of the products. Last month, some new additions were added to the range, which I have been using and I'm sure that they will sell out as quickly as the original line.

Skincare & Makeup Headband: Everybody needs one of these in their life! I used to just clip or tie my hair back, but some bits of my har would inevitably either get wet, or get product in them. This is made out of really soft cotton, and is elasticized, rather than with a velcro strap, which a lot of headbands have and I find annoying as they usually catch in my hair! This is ideal for doing both your skincare and makeup, plus it's only £5 so it's a bargain!

Makeup remover pads: There are seven pads in this set, which are made from bamboo. They can be used in place of cotton wool pads - for eye makeup removal, toning, even for nail polish remover! Then you just pop them in the 100% organic bag that is also in the box, and wash them all together. They are so soft and gentle to use, yet robust!

Shift-Delete makeup remover mitts: I actually prefer these to Halo pads. They are much softer, plus I love how you can put your fingers into the 'pocket' on the back. You just place them under running warm water, rinse them out and then remove the bulk of your makeup, before throwing them in the wash (and they wash really well). I then follow up with a cleansing oil or balm, to ensure that every scrap of makeup, spf etc is removed. They're so quick and easy to use, and perfect to pack for holidays or weekends away.

Gel Quench Anytime Moisturiser: This moisturiser is aimed at combination skin, so I really didn't expect to love it as much as I did the Cream-Drench moisturiser, however given the high temperatures and humid days that we have been having, I have actually really enjoyed this in the morning, as it's lightweight and absorbs quickly without leaving my skin feeling thirsty. As it's a gel formula, those with oily or combination skin will enjoy this all year round, and can use it both morning and night. It has a great array of ingredients, including Niacinamide (to reduce pores and even skin tone), Inulin (which is a prebiotic), Butylene Glycol (which is what gives it the gel texture), Hyaluronic Acid (for hydration), Squalene (moisturising agent), Glycerin, and more. Like I said, I found it great on the muggy, humid mornings when I couldn't face putting anything too heavy on my skin, but in general, I think that I probably wouldn't use it all year round on my Sahara-like skin. Those of you with oily/combo skin - go for it.

I think that this collaboration is brilliant. It provides effective products at very affordable prices, without skimping on quality. Have you tried anything from the line yet?
