The summer beauty edit......

Summer is finally here and although the weather was initially pretty inconsistent, to say the least, we're now having a good spell and I'm here for it!  I'm embracing the opportunity to wear brighter colours, whether in my clothes, accessories, or on my face/nails. Bright colours make me so happy - even if it means using a brightly coloured umbrella! Anyway, today I'm focusing on beauty, and the products that I'm using right now and will continue to do so until Autumn rolls around.

Erborian Skin Hero*: This is the perfect product to use on no makeup days and it really is a little bit of magic in a tube! It somehow acts like a filter by blurring the appearance of pores and texture, and making skin just look better. It isn't tinted, so it really is the ideal product for a "your skin, but better day" and you don't feel the need to wear any other face makeup, because there is no tint. When worn consistently, it improves skin texture and tone, leaving it looking naturally radiant.

YSL NU Bare Look Tint*: I've mentioned this several times over the past two months, simply because when I open my foundation drawer, this is what I reach for most often. I love that it's comprised of 90% skincare ingredients, so it's a hybrid that makes my skin look radiant, but not greasy, and I can see my freckles on my nose and across my cheeks. It is buildable, so those who like a bit more coverage will still enjoy it (but full coverage won't be achieved), and I like that I can apply it with my fingers if I want to.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer: I repurchased a mini of this recently because it's been a few years since I've used it but I remembered how much I loved it. I use this to spot conceal any areas of pigmentation, but I can also use it on my under eye area, It's non-drying and offers medium coverage.

By Terry Brightening CC Blush: I love this blush - it's so easy to apply (it has a clicky-btush applicator), and I just pat it into my cheeks with either my fingers or a beauty blender. The colour is a soft pink that livens my skin up in an instant and also adds some glow.

Stila Convertible Colour: I adore the formula of these cream blushes, which are so easy to apply and can also be used on the lips. This particular shade is a gorgeous coral, which really suits my medium skin tone.

Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Sun-Kissed Glow Bronzer: I just adore this bronzer because it looks so natural on the skin. It really is a product for sun-kissed skin, rather than contoured, and although it looks quite dark in the pan, it blends into the skin very easily and seamlessly.

Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter: Of course, I have to have some sort of highlighter and glow! This is one of my favourite ever products from the brand because I can wear it under foundation, or over, or even alone. It blurs the appearance of pores and acts like a filter, as the name suggests. Whilst it adds glow, it doesn't leave the skin looking greasy.

I can't choose just one lip product because I am really enjoying rotating between tinted balms, lipsticks and glosses and there aren't any that I can name more than others, as I'm not stuck on any particular lip combo!

These products were kindly gifted to me, without obligation.

On my nails, I'm really enjoying some CND Vinylux shades that I was kindly sent. The two that I am currently wearing most are Oceanside (a beautiful turquoise) and Wildfire ( a beautiful red, which looks fabulous with a tan - real or from a bottle), but I've also started to create a pastel manicure with various shades, Chance Taker being one, which is a pale blue but it isn't too cool toned. I repaint my nails weekly and used CND Vinylux top coat, which keeps my nails chip-free, and I use CND Solar Oil daily to nourish my nails and cuticles.

I've already shared my fragrance favourites here, and my skincare routine has had some tweaks, but most new products have already been shared in posts.

Obviously, the most important items is SPF and for my face, I'm very loyal to La Roche Posay Anthelios, but I was kindly sent a bundle of Garnier Ambre Solaire products (and a gorgeous visor), and what I'm using the most on my body is Invisible Protect Glow Transparent SPF30, with Vitamin E and Watermelon (non-greasy, smells delicious and leaves a sheen on the skin!). On days when it's extra hot or I'm outside for a longer period, I'll use SPF50.

Have you switched up your makeup for summer, or do you like to use the same products all year round? I'd love to hear what your favourite summer picks are?
