Natasha Denona Glam Face & Eye Palette: Light Review & Swatches

Natasha Denona Glam Face & Eye Palette: Light Review & Swatches, Is the Natasha Denona Glam Face & Eye Palette worth the hype?

I have to say that I didn't really plan on buying this palette, as I have a few all in one face palettes, plus I find that Natasha Denona cheek products can be a bit hit & miss, however it was on sale, and from the swatches I saw online, I thought that I'd use all of them, plus it's perfect to take on nights away or holidays, as both eyes and cheeks are covered. But, is the Natasha Denona Glam Face & Eye Palette a hit or a miss?

Available in both light and dark, I chose the light palette (for some reason, the dark option wasn't on sale, which I found strange!). In the palette, there is a cream blush, powder highlighter, and five eyeshadows in both matte and sparkling finishes, which means that creating both day and night looks is easy. Under each eyeshadow, is a suggestion on how to use it - crease, transition, smoke, outer and inner corner, which will be useful for people who aren't confident in creating eye makeup looks, however, you can obviously use them in whatever way you want, and maybe just do a one shadow sweep, for a quick & easy look. That said, I like that the option to create a complete eye and cheek look is available within the one palette, with very natural tones that are very wearable.

The palette itself is mirrored rose gold in colour - very aesthetically pleasing, but impossible to photograph and also to clean finger prints from! The entire inside of the lid is a mirror, which is ideal for  doing your whole face. I like that in her face palettes, Natasha has a plastic section over the cream products, which prevents smearing on the mirror inside the lid, and ultimately, waste and transfer.

The blush swatches a little deeper than I expected, however the formula is so creamy that it blends well, and a little goes a long way, so I'd recommend dabbing some on, and then blending with a sponge or brush, and adding more as required. It's a neutral pink, which should suit most light-medium skin tones. The highlighter texture is sublime (as I've come to expect from Natasha), and it feels so buttery soft. It's pretty pigmented, but due to the formula, it applies easily and blends well, so you don't have to wear a disco ball look if that isn't your style!

The eyeshadows are the pretty perfect neutral shades that anyone could create an everyday or evening look with. They don't have names (although they are numbered on the back of the box), but with only five shadows, it's not an issue, particularly when the advised application method is written under each one. The shadows have to be felt to be truly believed, in terms of the buttery soft texture. The pigmentation is spot on - in the past, some of her shadows were almost too pigmented,  and what I mean by that is that unless you're a pro or very adept at creating eye makeup looks, you might have struggled with them.  These shadows are still pigmented, however they are easy to work with. The mattes are neither chalky nor powdery, they apply evenly and easily to the lid, even ones that aren't completely firm! The metallics are so creamy, and work well when applied with a flat shader brush, or your finger. If you really want to up the ante, you can spray your brush with some water, or makeup fixing spray.

Overall, I have to say that I'm impressed with this palette and happy that I bought it. It's one that I'll definitely be taking on holiday, as it will make life simple and I can use it whether I want a minimal or a glam look. I'd love to hear your thoughts?
