Signing off for the festive season......

 

I'm finishing up for the year a little earlier than normal this year. I just feel so burnt out after the year I've had, so I need a little break before Christmas or else I'll sleep through the whole day! I'm going to spend time watching Christmas films, listening to festive music and generally chilling out. Anyone working in retail, I feel for you, as I did it part-time all of the way through university. If you are going to the shops over the next week, please have patience and treat the staff kindly, and with respect.

What a year it has been! I thought that 2020 was tough, but for me, 2021 makes last year seem like a party! I didn't think that I could become any more ill than I had been, but I was very, very wrong and I am grateful to be here today. You just never know what life is going to throw at you, so you have to make the most of every day and be as happy as possible. Eliminate people who drain you, don't make you feel good about yourself, or add stress to your life, because life really is too short to be anything but happy. We also lost my Father in Law and my mother had a stroke, and was extremely lucky to survive, so we have really learned even more about living in the moment and how precious life is.

I want to thank every one of you who read my blog this year - your support means the world to me. I'm not in this for freebies, fame or riches (just as well!!) . I blog because I love connecting with like-minded people, because I'm a consumer as well as a blogger, and because I have a genuine love of all things beauty. I'll continue blogging for as long as I enjoy it and for as long as you enjoy reading what I have to say.

I wish you all a very happy festive season, whether you celebrate Christmas or not. It's time to pause, reflect and be grateful. The material things are nice, but I always think that if you have someone to share the time with, a nice dinner and a grateful heart, then you really don't need much more.
