Three favourites from Tatcha

Three favourites from Tatcha

I really wish that Tatcha was more accessible for those of us on this side of the Atlantic, because I pretty much love everything I try from them. If you don't know much about the brand, it's Japanese and focuses on the principle that less is more. The foundation of their products is Hadasei-3™, which is a trio of anti-aging superfoods, present in the Japanese diet; green tea, algae and rice. Every product that I have tried has been delicate, yet effective. Those with sensitive skin, or who want to simplify their routine, will love this brand.

The Rice Wash Skin-Softening Cleanser: This cleanser has a creamy texture, yet there is some fine rice powder in it too, so it gently buffs the skin whilst also cleansing. It has an amino acid base and also contains a hyaluronic acid and algae blend, which hydrate the skin. I apply it by adding some water to the product in my hand, to create a gentle foam and then massage into the skin, before rinsing thoroughly, to reveal smooth, plump and bright skin. It's gentle enough for everyday use.

The Dewy Resurfacing & Plumping Serum: Dewy & plumping? This serum had me at the name! This is a 3-in-1 serum, which contains the  Hadasei-3™compound mentioned above, but also lactic acid, which gives the skin a gentle exfoliation. It has a creamy gel texture, which feels hydrating and comfortable on the skin, and it also layers well with other products, without any pilling.  I personally find it gentle enough for daily use and would imagine that even if you were new to acids, you would too, due to the balance of ingredients. Skin initially looks brighter, but after a few weeks, it feels soft, looks radiant and, generally, healthier.

Luminous Dewy Skin Mist: This is a bestseller for a reason! It is packed with humectants, which help to retain water in the skin, and when used before makeup application, foundation applies beautifully - particularly ones that are quite creamy, or full coverage. It also works beautifully as a setting spray, to mesh all base products together (but a tip is to use it before you apply your mascara, to avoid smudging and also ensure to mist from a distance, as it really does give the skin a dewy look and it could verge on greasy if misted right in front of the face), or also to refresh makeup throughout the day. The mist action is probably the finest you will find, and it feels instantly soothing, so it would also be the ideal product to take on flights and mist throughout, to keep skin hydrated.

I basically want to try all of the dewy and plumping products from this brand, so I hope they come to a stockist on this side of the Atlantic soon!

Have you tried any Tatcha products? What do you recommend I try next?
