What's been your lockdown product of the year?

What's been your lockdown product of the year?

I thought this might be a fun idea for a post - we've been in & out (more in than out) of lockdown for most of 2020 and I was wondering what product has kept you sane/you've gotten most use out of/has been most needed? I could probably list several, but wanted it to be just one product, however I'm cheating on my own post, and naming two!

I got a very bad case of Covid, preceded and followed by proper flu, tonsillitis, sinus infections and pneumonia. I'm one of those 'long haulers' you hear about, but I have hope that 2021 will bring better things. With all of those things going on, you wouldn't think that hair loss would bother me, but it really did/does. I had clumps of hair fall out every time I brushed my hair, and a trail of hair all around the house. I wrote about it in this post. One product that was released at the perfect time for me was Olaplex No 0, (save 20% using the code LYMIN) which I reviewed here. This has made a huge difference to my hair - it feels so much stronger and elasticized. I've notice less hair breakage and my hair loss is pretty standard at this stage - I just need it to re-grow! I already used No 3 but the two products combined have saved my hair - I dread to think what state it would be in without these products!

The second product (I know, I shouldn't cheat!), is a Slip Silk Mask. These masks are not the cheapest, but I see them as an investment and much better than just using disposable ones all of the time. In all honesty, I've barely left my house this year, apart from medical appointments and to get my hair done - the main thing I missed in lockdown! But when I have, I've worn this mask and it is just so comfortable on the skin. I also love that it doesn't make me feel claustrophobic (as I have a constantly elevated temperature and still suffer from breathlessness, so the disposable masks make me feel like I am sweating more and that it's more difficult to breathe). I'd really recommend putting one on your Christmas list, if you don't have any already. I bought black, but there are other colours available.

I really could list more products that have stood out, but I'm cheating at two, so I'll stop! I would love to hear what your lockdown product of the year has been?
