Lipsticks that won't budge under masks.... Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick

Lipsticks that won't budge under masks, Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick
These lipsticks were kindly sent to me, without obligation.

So, we're back in lockdown - but is anybody surprised? With the numbers rising, it was the only responsible thing for the government to do. I personally know of someone who died from it two weeks ago, so it brought it home to me how utterly terrifying the virus is. Whether we like it or not, masks are here to stay for the foreseeable future (well into next year, at the very least). I know that people don't like to wear them for a variety of reasons, but they are essential (there are some people who are exceptions to this rule, which I respect, but in general, the vast majority of people must wear a mask in public). Now, I know that until the beginning of December, we won't be venturing far, however we are allowed out within a limited km radius and if in a support bubble. Some people are happy to give their skin a break and not wear any makeup, others see no point, as it all comes off (it doesn't if you use the right products), but I have some lipsticks to share with you today that will.not.budge!

It's tricky to find the balance between a lip product that won't budge but also one that isn't drying. The answer is Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipsticks*. I was kindly sent three shades, which are perfect for the Autumn and Winter months and when I tell you that these lipsticks are budge proof, I mean it!

There are a number of things that I love about these lipsticks. First of all, I love that there is a large selection of shades to choose from - 21 actually, so there should be something for everyone! Secondly, I love the precise doe foot applicator, which is slightly curved, to fit the contours of the lips. Thirdly, I love how pigmented they are! Fourthly,  unlike a lot of matte lip products, these don't leave my lips looking smaller. Fifthly, they are not drying (they contain avocado oil and vitamin E), although I always recommend applying lip balm a little while before applying liquid lipstick. Sixthly (and, finally, although I could do on!), these lipsticks are super long-lasting. You will probably need to remove them with your first cleanse in the evening. Actually, I need to add the seventh reason - they are transfer-proof, which is important if you're wearing a mask!

Lipsticks that won't budge under masks.... Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick, Prissy, Makin' Moves, Stay The Night Swatches
Swatches are completely unedited. From left to right: Prissy, Makin' Moves, Stay The Night

The shades I was sent are:

Prissy -  This will be perfect for the festive season as it's a gorgeous red, with a hint of blue tone, which makes teeth look whiter.

Makin' Moves - A brown nude, which I think would work on all skin tones (all 3 shades will, actually).

Stay The Night - A beautiful hot pink, that really lights up the face!

I absolutely love all three shades and when lockdown is over, but we're still wearing masks, I'll be able to apply these before leaving the house (because I've been so ill with the Covid/Lyme mix this year, I can count on one hand, the number of times I've left the house for something non-medical related, but I'm determined to do a few festive things (safely) in December), and not worry about having to top them up until makeup removal time.

If you are struggling to find a long-lasting lip product, I can' recommend these enough and there is bound to be a shade for you!

Available from Cult BeautyLook Fantastic (use the code LYMIN to save 20%), ASOS, Arnotts and Brown Thomas.
