It's that time of the month again, when some people get an itch to treat themselves to something and I have three fantastic products to share with you today, starting with a palette that is amazing value!
This was kindly gifted to me, without obligation. |
Under £20: Beautonomy eyeshadows* offer outstanding value, with shadows at only £2 each and you can create your own palette, choosing whatever variety of finishes you choose - duo-chrome, shimmer, matte and glitter. You can choose what the exterior of your palette looks like - I chose marble because I'm pretty basic like that, but just wait until you see the swatches!

I'l be honest, I didn't know what to expect from eyeshadows at such a low price point, but just look at the swatches!
I have to say that the quality is excellent and I'm impressed on a number of levels. Firstly, the amount of shadow that you get for only £2, secondly, the pigmentation, thirdly, the fact that the palette is fully customisable because, let's face it, there are usually a few shades in pre-made palettes that we don't use, and fourthly, the shadows are cruelty-free and mainly vegan. The shimmers and duo-chromes are buttery soft, with the matte being slightly stiffer in the pan and with some kickback, so I would recommend doing your eyes before your base.
The shadows are individually packed and are magnetic, so you could swap them out if you wanted to. The front of the palette is fully customisable and you can you use one of their backgrounds, or upload a photo of your own, which I think would make it a really nice gift. I love that the name of the shadow is printed on the palette and you can also change the background colour.
What's even better, is that I have a 20% discount code for you - beautylymin20, on what is already a bargain brand and there is free shipping on orders over £20. I know it might seem early to say the 'C' word, but I honestly think that one of these palettes would make a gorgeous gift.
Available from Beautonomy.

£20-50: Ole Henriksen Phat Glow Facial: I'm sure you're aware at this stage, but every Tuesday, Boots offer a certain number of products for either 10 pounds or 12 euros, but you have to get in there early, or the best picks will be gone! I think that it was some time last month that this mask was on offer, so I snapped it up. I didn't want to pay full price because my relationship with this brand is hit & miss, but I have been curious about this mask since its launch. It contains PHAs, which are polyhydroxyacids - second grade AHAs, so if you find AHAs are a little too harsh for your skin, you might want to try PHAs. They are molecularly larger than both AHAs and BHAs, so they won't exfoliate as deeply but they are the perfect introductory acid, or acid for sensitive skin. When pumped out, the mask is pink and you massage it in until it's white, then leave for about 15 minutes, before rinsing. This mask gently exfoliates the skin and leaves it looking brighter and feeling softer, without any redness. Even those who are scared of acids, will enjoy this mask!
£50+: Neom Wellbeing Pod Essential Oil Diffuser: I spoke about this in my non-beauty loves post here and I had to mention it again because it really is worth the money. It gently diffuses scent throughout the room (and outside the room) and I love that you can change the oil up, depending on your mood/needs. It is especially good to use in the bedroom before going asleep - you can set the timer so that you can either fall asleep with it on, or to use for a few hours before bedtime. It's small, so it's easy to move around the house, or even to take away with you (as long as it's well packed). It's one of the best gifts I have received in a long time (thank you, Mam!) and I am using it daily. Pricey, but worth it.
Will you be treating yourself to anything this month, or have you already? I'd love to hear!
