My DIY Image skincare facial

My DIY Image skincare facial, Image skincare review

Have you entered my Pat McGrath giveaway here?

I haven't posted one of my weekly DIY facial posts in a while so I thought I'd show you my most recent one, where I decided to use all Image Skincare* products. Most of these current products were kindly sent to me at various times (denoted with *) but I have also purchased some products from this brand myself over the years - regular readers will know that I swear by their Total Pure Hyaluronic Filler! Let's get into it....

The MAX™ Stem Cell Facial Cleanser*: After removing my SPF with a micellar water, I cleansed with this beauty. It's not often that I like a cleanser that foams, but this is definitely an exception to the rule because it doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped and aims to balance the skin's pH. The stem cell in the name refers to the blend of cells obtained from apple, edelweiss and snowflake flowers - these help to protect against environmental damage. Combined with this, it contains peptides to help firm the skin. I love how clean this makes my skin feel without any tightness - just clean and comfortable.

AGELESS Total Resurfacing Masque: I don't always love physical exfoliators, but this mask is one of my favourites when I want instant results. It combines a blend of glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids, with papaya extract to exfoliate the skin, leaving it feeling smooth and soft, without feeling stripped and it also contains hyaluronic acid, which balances and hydrates the skin. It can be left on for up to 30 minutes, depending on how sensitive your skin is, but you can start with just 5 minutes. This mask always leaves my skin feeling brand new and baby soft, which is why I repurchased it.

AGELESS Total Pure Hyaluronic Filler*: After misting, I went in with this glorious serum! This is no ordinary hyaluronic acid serum, because it contains six forms of hyaluronic acid of lower and higher molecular weight. Results are seen instantly in the form of plump, hydrated skin but with consistent use, skin looks firmer, with lines diminished. Forget botox and invest in this!

VITAL C Hydrating Overnight Masque*: After applying eye cream, I had two options for my final step - both Vitamin C options, to brighten my skin. I used this as I love an overnight mask and am currently using the moisturiser in my morning routine. This mask has a gel texture and a beautiful citrusy scent. I applied a generous layer on my skin and it immediately felt cooling, due to the blue green algae extract. It also contains vitamin E and hyaluronic acid, which are humectants so I woke to calm, bright and plump skin - exactly what I was aiming for!

VITAL C Hydrating Water Burst*: Regular readers will know that vitamin C is a tricky ingredient for my skin - I love the results it gives but some products are too harsh to be used on my skin daily. There are maybe one or two exceptions and this moisturiser is the latest exception. It is a dreamy product! It contains vitamins C and E, as well as hyaluronic acid and Water Burst Technology. It has a gel texture but as soon as it's applied to the skin, it feels more like water that instantly hydrates. I absolutely love it! My skin feel so soft afterwards and that feeling lasts all day. From consistent use, my skin looks brighter too. It's one of my most favourite skincare discoveries of 2020, for sure and is really helping my post-Covid skin look better. I adore the citrus scent too - don't worry if you don't like that scent as it soon dissipates.

I really loved the results of this DIY facial and it's one I'll be repeating, for sure. Have you tried any of these products? Are you still doing DIY pampering? I'd love to hear!
