Have you entered my Pat McGrath giveaway here?
It's a while since I showed you my current most used and most loved products. I always narrow it down to five - otherwise, we could be here all day!
Kerastase K-Water: I saw this in a recent Fleur De Force favourites video and was instantly intrigued. It's designed to protect and repair the hair, as well as act as a final glossing product. It's so unusual because it's a water and you only need to use 40ml. The directions say to use it instead of conditioner but I use it after conditioner as a final rinse product. It can be rinsed immediately after application (if distributed evenly throughout the hair), or left for around 5 minutes, which is what I usually do. Hair instantly feels sleeker and when it's dried, it looks glossy - very much like when you have a salon treatment.
Armani Neo Nude Foundation: I had reduced my foundation collection to a reasonable-ish size earlier this year and then Armani released this, which sounded perfect for summer so I had to buy it (you know, because I've so many places to go!). It contains hyaluronic acid and glycerin, both of which are brilliant ingredients for my dry skin. It offers buildable coverage and gives the skin a fresh, dewy look without looking greasy. It's more than a tinted moisturiser but it feels like one on the skin because it's hydrating. I just love it. The only thing I would say is that the shades run darker than you might think - I use 6.5 in Luminous Silk, bought this in a 6, which is fine when I'm fake tanned but if I were to repurchase, it would probably be in a 5.
COSRX Original One Step Original Clear Pads*: These pads were kindly sent to me in late June, and I'll be honest, I didn't think any pad could ever compare to my beloved Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Pads and whilst I'm not saying that I won't be repurchasing the DDG pads again, these are a great, affordable alternative. They combine a BHA in the form of Betaine Salicylate, with WiIlow Bark Water - both of which exfoliate deeply and on the surface to reveal brighter skin. They don't tingle or dry the skin out and the fact that the pot contains 70 pads is amazing value I don't use them daily but anyone who has congested or blemish-prone skin would benefit from daily use.
Pestle & Mortar Vitamin C 2 Phase Serum*: I was kindly sent this with a personalised beach bag earlier this summer (which I won't use until next summer, no doubt but I've been using, and loving, the serum). Pestle & Mortar is an Irish family run brand with its roots in the Indian heritage of Sonia Deasy. This serum, as the name suggests, is a bi-phase serum, with one side having the Vitamin C blend (16%, which is pretty potent) and an oil phase in the other. As you probably know, Vitamin C is a notoriously unstable ingredient but the dark bottle and pump help to protect the ingredients. I only have one Vitamin C serum open at a time, otherwise you are basically wasting your product as it will oxidise. There are three types of Vitamin C in this serum so if you are new to the ingredient, you might find it best to use it only once/twice weekly as Vitamin C can be antagonistic for reactive skin. If you are a Vitamin C veteran, you can use this daily. The results are seen pretty quickly - even, bright skin that is even in tone and texture. A really fantastic serum. Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer: The best cream bronzer I have ever used - RiRi pulled it out of the bag with this one! It looks so natural on the skin, blends seamlessly to look natural, doesn't look greasy and lasts hours and hours on the skin. It doesn't feel heavy and the more you blend, the more natural it looks, without disappearing!
