I told you that I've been doing a lot of pampering during my blogging break and one brand that I've been using a lot is Emma Hardie. I first tried the Moringa Cleansing Balm around six years ago and have loved the brand ever since so I thought I'd try to replicate one of the brand's facial and then did it several more times. Let me talk you through it.....
To remove makeup/spf, as a first cleanse, I massage Moringa Cleansing Balm into my skin. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this balm is not just a cleanser, it's an experience! The texture is perfect - pliable but not too soft and certainly not too stiff, which some balms are. When I massage it into my skin, I inhale the scent, which I adore and I really take my time to work it into my skin to break down all makeup - even stubborn eye makeup is no real opponent for this balm. Once I feel it's been sufficiently massaged in, I then emulsify, using water and then remove with the cloth that accompanies the mask. These dual sided cloths are the best I've tried - they last for years. One side removes product and the other, gently exfoliates the skin.
I then follow up with the Moringa Light Cleansing Gel (review here), which is also perfect for a morning cleanse. This is a light gel cleanser that I massage into the skin to ensure that my skin is completely cleansed. No matter what cleanser you use, taking your time to massage it in is a really effective way to instantly make your skin look better and feel firmer.
Once I rinse the gel off thoroughly, again using the cloth, I use a few sprays of Exfoliating Brightening Tonic* (review here) on a cotton pad, swiping all over my face and neck. This exfoliator is gentle, yet very effective - it uses pomegranate enzymes to release trapped bacteria, that would otherwise cause congestion, it also exfoliates the skin to reveal brighter skin. This toner also stimulates collagen production to help the skin to remain plump and it also contains Aloe Vera, which calms and soothes the skin. I love how bright and clear my skin looks after I use this product and it doesn't feel at all stripping on the skin. I would highly recommend it for all skin types.

Of course, after toning, I follow with a mist. Plump & Glow Hydrating Mist*, which I have raved about on the blog before. It's packed with hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and watermint, which is cooling. A few spritzes of this makes my skin look plump and juicy. This can also be used throughout the day to revive the skin. If you haven't tried this, I really urge you to because it's definitely one of the better face mists on the market (plus it also smells amazing!).
My next step is eye cream and Midas Touch Revitalising Eye Serum* is divine! It plumps fine lines and makes the under eye area look smoother. Packed with hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, sweet almond oil and nourishing omegas, this product instantly quenches the thirst of the eye area, reduces puffiness and makes the skin around the eyes appear firmer.
To finish, I slather myself in Moringa Renewal Treatment mask. I must be on my third tube of this - it can be used as a regular mask (removed after 10-15 minutes), but my preference is to leave it on overnight, to really work its magic! Again, it's packed with hyaluronic acid to attract and lock in moisture, but it also contains moringa olifera seed oil, which firms the skin and amino acids, to brighten the skin. My skin drinks this mask up!
The end result is bright, juicy, firm, plump skin. I don't always do one brand facials but I find that all of these work so well together that the results are worth it. Plus the ritual is very relaxing and I adore the moringa scent of the products. It's the perfect pre-bedtime treat, which is why I do it regularly!
Have you used any of these products? Are you still doing DIY facials, or holding out for a salon trip? I'd love to hear!
