I might be behind in posting my weekly facials, but they are happening! I highly recommend to all of you to just take some time for yourself and gather up your favourite products and take the time to give yourself a facial. It doesn't have to be fancy products, in fact, taking the time to really massage products into your face is probably just as, if not more, important than the products you use. Here's what I used this week. My skin was looking dull but also thirsty so I wanted to banish all signs of that! As always, if any product was gifted to me, it will be marked with a *
Ecooking Micellar Water*: I started my removing my SPF and CC Cream with this micellar water, which is gentle and effective (review here). I always double cleanse - the first to remove product and the second to actually cleanse the skin. If you like the sound of this (or any ecooking product), you can save 20% by using the code beautylymin at checkout - not affiliated.
Drunk Elephant Slaai Makeup Melting Butter: I know this is designed to remove makeup, but it can also be used as a traditional cleansing balm. It's very pliable so it's easy to massage into the skin, this is where I like to give my skin lots of attention, to make sure my skin is comfortable and very clean but not at all stripped.
Ecooking Peeling Mask*: Oh how I love this mask, which I have raved about several times on the blog. It's a very active mask that contains lactic, glycolic and salicylic acids, as well as squalane to balance the exfoliating action of the mask. It is a very active mask, which works fast and leaves the skin a little pink but not sore or inflamed, so it's best to use it at night to give skin a little bit of time to calm down. It's the closest thing you'll find to Baby Facial this side of the Atlantic. The result is very soft, silky smooth skin with refined pores. Again, my code beautylymin works for a 20% discount on this mask.
Omorovicza Queen Of Hungary Mist*: A few spritzes of my favourite mist helps to hydrate my skin - one you all know I love as it really calms my skin.
Omorovicza Omoressence: This also packs the skin with hydration and really prepares it for the next step but it's one product I definitely wouldn't miss because it relieves any tightness in the skin and plumps it.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair: My most repurchased skincare product ever (full review here). I absolutely love this serum - it hydrates, repairs, plumps, elasticizes and brightens the skin and is the perfect serum to use after the peeling mask.
Antipodes Kiwi Seed Gold Luminous Eye Cream*: I love how this plumps my under eye area - it's really nourishing and leaves the area smoother and looking more rested.
Prai Throat & Decolletage Serum: I use this morning and night and have been for around 4/5 months and have seen a huge difference in the elasticity in the skin on my neck. This area tends to start showing signs of age at around the age of 35, maybe a little earlier if you spend a lot of time in the sun but this serum really helps to make the skin look and feel less dry.
Glam Glow ThirstyMud: I've only recently started using this mask again, which I have repurchased countless times but not in the last year or two until recently. It's packed with hyaluronic acid and other nourishing and hydrating ingredients. It smells like caramel so I smother my face and neck in it. It doesn't feel sticky so I don't stick to the pillow and my hair doesn't stick to my face. This ensures that my skin is plump the next day so I always use it as an overnight mask. (I forgot to photograph this!).
Revitalash Serum: I finish with this serum because it really helps to lengthen and strengthen my lashes. I use this morning and night and have done for months. It's expensive but I promise you that it really, really works. I'm not even missing my lash extensions at the moment!
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask: I always finish with lip balm and find this one to be particularly great or my very dry lips. I wish we could buy it over here!
I always feel so much better after a pamper and this selection of products really helped my skin to glow, look more luminous and feel smooth with refined pores. I'll probably choose different products next week but in the meantime, I'd love to hear what products you're currently loving and if you're doing weekly facials?
