My weekly at home facial #1

Lockdown facial at home, DIY facial
Any gifted products are marked with a *

I say weekly facial as though I use the same products on a weekly basis but I definitely don't - I use products based on what my skin needs that week (actually, it's probably more twice weekly at the moment) but I just thought I'd show you what I used in my most recent DIY effort. I actually rarely go out for facials (I did regularly before our wedding) but that is something I'd like to get more into and I especially want to try a Hydrafacial or (the dream) an Omorovicza facial! Anyway, back to what I used this week... (Anything marked with a * was kindly gifted to me).

I was feeling particularly rubbish and looking dull and dreadful this week, so I decided that I was really going to pamper myself to make myself feel a little better and, as a result, hopefully look better.

I started with my Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm and really took my time massaging this into my skin. Most other cleansers are just that - cleansers, but this is an experience! I love the cloths that accompany this so I can get a gentle exfoliation at the same time. This always leaves my skin feeling smooth, soft and hydrated.

I then opted for one of my favourite masks - Omorovicza Ultramoor Mud Mask*, because this tightens, brightens and decongests my skin. I just love how lifted and radiant my skin looks after using this mask.

I then used Omorovicza Queen Of Hungary Mist* to hydrate my skin and decided to follow with my second mask of the evening - Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Firm ( I am part of their Skinfluencer programme but bought this mask myself), which I absolutely love as it plumps my skin so much that it makes it look around five years younger!

When I removed that, I misted again, followed with Farmacy Honeymoon Glow AHA Resurfacing Night Serum, then after a few minutes, I used Image Ageless Total Pure Hyaluronic Filler*. This combination ensure glowing, plump, smooth and hydrated skin.

I used Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask on my under eye area, Prai Ageless Throat & Decolletage Serum and finished up by slathering myself in Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream sealed with F-Balm Waterfacial from the same brand on top.

The finishing touch was my Rejuvenated Lash Serum and of course, I can't forget about my lips so I  used Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.

This made me feel a whole lot better and yesterday morning, you couldn't tell that I had spent hours being poked and prodded in A&E! When my skin looks good, I always feel a little better in myself. Roll on next week or maybe I'll do another one on Sunday - I'll see how my skin is feeling.

Do you have regular salon facials or prefer to do them yourself? I'd love to hear.
