My three favourites from the By Terry Summer Collection 2020....

My three favourites from the By Terry Summer Collection 2020
I bought these products myself.

By Terry is an unapologetically luxurious brand with both skincare and makeup products (some of the latter are infused with the former, hence the higher price tags associated with this brand). It's not a brand that I buy products from on a whim, instead I do some research as I want to be pretty sure I'm going to love whatever I splash the cash on and so far, so good. I chose my top five products from the brand in a post here but it could easily have been my top ten and still have been a struggle! I love that the skincare products are rose based as I personally love anything rose-scented and find that the ingredient suits my skin really well. When I started to see the new summer collection pop up on blogs, I knew that I would have to buy at least one product and ended up with three! In my defence, my LYMIN code works on By Terry on Look Fantastic for a 20% discount (at the moment), at some point, it will be dropping to 15%. Plus, I saw a 20% discount code on the By Terry site, which I also took advantage of and the great thing about ordering directly from the site is that you get two free samples and free shipping within the EU.

Hyaluronic Hydra Foundation: This foundation had my name written all over it so there was no way I couldn't buy it! Infused with Hylauronic Acid, weightless and buildable coverage - what's not to love? I love the watery formula and pipette dispenser (which in my experience, hasn't clogged). At first, I did wonder if I would achieve more than a sheer amount of coverage, but it is surprisingly pigmented and definitely buildable. The finish is demi-matte - very natural looking and it somehow manages to make the skin look pretty much flawless. It is completely weightless, has SPF 30, doesn't sink into fine lines and doesn't break down on the chin or around the nose. I would say that I need to touch it up slightly at around the 9 hour mark, but that's pretty amazing for a foundation like this and really just a freshen up with a mist and beauty sponge does the trick. I have found that it applies equally well with fingers, a beauty blender and a buffing brush. It's an expensive foundation but if it sounds like one you would enjoy, you can save 20% by using the code LYMIN on Look Fantastic here. I would say that the only con is that there are only 15 shades, divided into cool, neutral and warm but I hope they expand on that as in my experience, the shades run a little lighter than you'd expect. Overall though, it's an absolute winner for me!

Brightening CC Palette - Sunny Flash: For the outer packaging alone, this palette wins product of the year! It is so summery and probably the closest I'll get to a holiday experience this year (thanks, Covid!). The gold and rose tones reflect what's inside and I love the rose design. When you open it, the scent of rose isn't at all overpowering but it does hit you and I personally find it a comforting scent as it brings back to many happy memories of my Granda and his garden. Each of the powders is infused with rosehip oil, which means that they will hydrate the skin and there won't be any powdery signs on the skin. It contains two blushes (Pink Petal and Vibrant Rose), a highlighter (Champagne blush) and bronzer (Desert Sparkle). The shades are all designed to add life to the complexion and work well on both the eyes and cheeks. The rose pattern of each powder makes them almost too pretty to use but I imagine it will be quite a while before the pattern disappears. The formula is soft and blends without any hint of patchiness or muddy look. I will be using this palette all summer long!

Ombre Blackstar No 22 Sunny Flash: There are three new shades of Ombre Blackstar in the summer collection - in silver packaging rather than the usual gold. The shades are Immaculate Light, which looks to be a champagne shade, Rose Elixir, a mid rose-toned sparkling shade and Sunny Flash, which is what I bought as bronze shades suit my green eyes really well but, to be honest, it's a universally flattering shade. I love these because they couldn't be any easier to use - a quick swipe, blend and you're good to go! Perfect for lazy days, busy Mums and those who don't feel confident with eye makeup because you can't go wrong with these! I don't know if it's just me but I find that this one seems to set faster than my other original shades to grab your blender brush as soon as you swipe and do one eye at a time!

Have any of these caught your eye? Which is your favourite product? I'd love to hear!
