It's a while since I did a 'The Hype Is Real' post but since I started using Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour All Over Miracle Oil*, I knew that I had to post about it. I received this in the Beauty Expert Collection: Icons Edition (worth £170 but use the code LYMIN_20 to reduce to £63.20) (post here). Being completely honest, I was never crazy about the original Eight Hour Cream, - I didn't like the texture or scent and found it to be a bit sticky so I bought one tube but didn't repurchase, despite the fact that it was effective in terms of a lip balm and healing cuticles etc. Therefore, I did question if I would like this oil version but I have fallen in love!

I love a good multi-tasking product and this really is one of the best, which makes it the perfect product to take on holiday (plus it's 100ml so it's ideal for hand luggage). It combines a number of nourishing oils, with Tsubaki Oil being the standout ingredient. What I really love about it is that despite the combination of oils, it's not actually greasy and absorbs quite quickly so there isn't a lot of downtime while waiting to get dressed.

It can be used on the face, body and hair but personally, I haven't used it on my face. I love to use a few spritzes on my body - particularly my stomach and thighs, to keep my skin very supple. It also works well on areas that are naturally dry, particularly elbows, knees and ankles. That being said, I don't use it when my tan is newly done as oils tend to break tan down.

I also like to spray a little into my hands and then through the ends of my hair as I think spraying it directly onto my hair might weigh it down a little as my hair is quite fine.

I find that a little goes a long way with this oil so I'm curious to see how long it lasts and will update you all in my empties posts on Instastories, where I post my empties.

Those with really dry skin will really appreciate this oil but I think those with normal skin and dry patches will enjoy it too. It's ideal to use after using a body scrub as it can penetrate the skin more deeply and replenish any lost moisture. If used at night after exfoliating, I wake to smooth, soft and hydrated skin and this is ideal when I want to apply tan the next day/night as it will apply evenly.

Overall, this is a hero product that is totally worth the hype. It's priced at £29 normally but if you use the code LYMIN at the checkout on Look Fantastic, it will be reduced by 20% to £23.19. Code is valid until the end of February.

Have you used this oil or the original cream? I'd love to hear!
