Have you entered my Christmas giveaway here?
It's yearly favourites week and today, it's all about skincare. These products aren't necessarily new to me - in fact, some of them have been staples in my routine for years! All new discoveries from the year will be in Friday's post as it will cover all areas of beauty. Most of the products in today's post will come as no surprise to my regular readers! Anything that was gifted to me, will be marked with a *.
Masks:
Image Ageless Total Resurfacing Mask*: This is a brilliant mask for those with textured skin (and let's face it, we all have texture issues at times). It combines a physical and chemical exfoliant to refine pores and eradicate bumps under the skin. It is applied for 20-30 minutes and when rinsed, it reveals really smooth and soft skin. The perfect product to use before a night out as makeup applies beautifully after it!
Drunk Elephant TLC Sukari Baby Facial: I'm teasing with you this product because it isn't available on this side of the Atlantic due to the level of AHA and BHAs it contains. It combines glycolic, lactic, tartaric, citric and salicylic acids, which act to resurface, deeply clean and refine the skin. It is akin to a peel in the results that it gives and really does leave skin feeling as soft as a baby's bottom! Full review here.
Oskia Renaissance Mask: This mask needs no introduction as I have raved about it so many times on the blog and I honestly couldn't tell you how many tubs of it I have used. It is a brightening and resurfacing mask but more than that, it leaves my skin looking like I've had a facial -- smooth, soft, bright, glowing and with refined pores. It uses fruit enzymes and lactic acid to exfoliate the skin but it also leaves it hydrated and although effective, it is also gentle. It's an all round winner that I will forever use! Omorovicza Midnight Radiance Mask*: This was kindly sent to me but I have also repurchased it myself several times. This mask contains salicylic acid, which is a BHA that penetrates the pores more deeply than an AHA and therefore can really help with any pesky blemishes that might be brewing. What I really love about this mask is that I am guaranteed a great skin day the morning after use because it leaves my skin almost translucent, with refined pores, soft to touch and radiant. This is a definite product to use the night before a special event!
Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Mask: This mask is incredible! I've been repurchasing it for around 15 years because I love what it does to my skin. It replenishes, nourishes, brightens and protects my skin and honestly makes it look around 5 years younger in 15 minutes. I love how plump and youthful my skin looks after using this mask. The perfect antidote to tired, dull skin.
Serums:
Image Ageless Total Pure Hyaluronic Filler: This isn't in the photo above as I recently ran out and desperately need to repurchase ASAP! This serum is like botox in a bottle - it plumps the skin like no other serum that I have tried and with consistent use, skin looks younger with lines being less pronounced. Everyone over the age of 30 should buy this!
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex: My most repurchased skincare product ever! This is a staple in my routine because no matter what my skin issue, it will answer it. It is not the type of product to give instant results but with consistent use, skin is stronger, more supple, hydrated, bouncy and bright. Full review here. Caudalie Premier Cru Serum*: Another hard-working serum, which improves the elasticity of the skin, thus improving firmness and how youthful the skin looks. It combines Resveratrol with Vinfirine, polyphenols and hyaluronic acid, to reduce dark spots, repair, retexturise and strengthen the skin. It can be used morning and night and with consistent use, skin looks youthful and feels soft and plump.
Others:
Zelens Power D Treatment Drops: Another non-negotiable in my routine, these drops are ideal for anyone who has reactive skin. This product protects and repairs the skin's natural barrier, which can be damaged from aggressive products or environmental aggressors. It can be used before serum or over moisturiser and it will instantly restore calm to the skin, nourish it and increase suppleness and elasticity. I will be forever grateful to my friend Anne from Doctor Anne who encouraged me to buy this product!
Sunday Riley Juno Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil: The instant glow-giver! This oil contains omegas 3,6 and 9 as well as vitamin C and amino acids. It nourishes the skin to leave it feeling strong and supple but it also gives the skin a glow without looking at all greasy!
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex: The perfect accompaniment to the serum mentioned above, this has a creamy-gel texture that instantly drenches the under eye area to leave it really plump with fine lines diminished. It feels soothing on the skin and generally leaves the under eye looking brighter and well rested Bonus points for the fact that it doesn't cause milia. Save 20% by using the code LYMIN at checkout.
