Rejuvenated Pink Drink Set in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Rejuvenated Pink Drink Set in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Before getting into the post, I want to remind you that today is the last day to enter my Bee Yü skincare giveaway here

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an international campaign that promotes awareness of breast cancer (what signs to watch out for and also help for those affected by it) and it also sees a lot of fundraising, which goes towards research into how to prevent the disease, the best treatment and more. Lots of beauty brands get involved in this campaign and I want to share one with you today. Rejuvenated have launched their Pink Drink Set and will be donating 10% of sales to the Pink Ribbon Foundation.

The hype is real #9 Jo Malone fragrances

The hype is real, Jo Malone, Is Jo Malone worth the hype

There is something about Jo Malone fragrances that gets my pulse racing!  I adore the classic cream and black packaging and the scent combinations that work so well together.  I waited years before indulging in some Jo Malone fragrances because they're pretty pricey and I honestly wondered if they could be worth the money and it was actually my husband who bought my first one as he knew I couldn't really justify the cost. Since then, I've been hooked although I will say that the classic Pomegranate Noir is not for me. As with all fragrance brands, it's not a case of one scent suits all tastes but I'm sure that there's at least one fragrance to suit everyone. Their Christmas range excites me every year and I love to both give and receive gifts from the brand.

Five Favourites from Huda beauty

Five Favourites, Huda Beauty, Huda Beauty 3D Highlight Palette, Huda Beauty TanTour, Huda Beauty Complexion Perfection, Huda Beauty Overachiever Concealer, Huda Beauty Liquid Matte

I'm back with another instalment in my Five Favourites series and today it's all about Huda Beauty. I have to say that it was really tricky to narrow it down to just five products because I genuinely love so many products from the brand. I know that Huda can be seen as quite controversial at times but I'm just focusing on her products and brand rather than the lady herself.

Cleansing Gels for every skin type

Cleansing Gels for every skin type, Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, Emma Hardie Moringa Light Cleansing Gel Review, Pixi Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel, Paula's Choice Hydrating Gel-to-Cream Cleanser, Caudalie Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser

Regular readers will know that balms are my favourite type of cleanser but there's no doubt that gel cleansers are ideal for mornings as they are refreshing on the skin. I think that most skin types will enjoy them as long as it's not stripping on the skin. They are also perfect for a second cleanse once makeup has been removed. Today I have five to share with you, some of which will suit almost everyone and others, which are targeted at specific needs.

Five stunning nude blushes

The nude blush edit, Charlotte Tilbury First Love, Hourglass Brilliant Nude, Marc Jacobs Flesh & Fantasy, Clarins Cheeky Boum,

Throughout Spring and Summer, I always opt for pinky/peachy/coral blushes but when it comes to Autumn/Winter, I tend to favour nude blush shades. Berry/mauve tones don't always work on me but I feel that blush makes a huge difference to my complexion so it's a step that I can't skip.  A nude blush may seem like an odd product to use but it really does add a little something to the cheeks to warm them up without taking away from the overall makeup look and it works better than just using a bronzer. I've chosen five gorgeous nude blushes to share with you today.

The best beauty products to use when prepping for a special occasion

The best beauty products to use when prepping for a special occasion, Dr Dennis Gross Professional Grade Resurfacing Liquid Peel, Omorovicza Midnight Radiance, Ameliorate Smoothing Body Exfoliant, Ameliorate Transforming Body Cream

When there is an upcoming special occasion, it's natural to want to look and feel your best. It can be a wedding, family party, holiday or maybe even just date night but sometimes you just want to make an extra effort with your routine. I don't know about you but, for me, when I look good, I feel better in myself. Everyone has different things that they feel require a little bit of extra effort and attention - for me, I want my skin to glow and I know that if I'm wearing a strapless or sleeveless top, I want my arms to be smooth and soft. Today, I want to share some brilliant products that will help to clarify, plump and make the skin glow as well as some others I use on my body and lips. This is not about looking perfect, it's more about looking the best you can. It's never about looking the best in the room because comparing yourself to others is a waste of energy, I just like to focus on looking my best so that I feel good.

Molton Brown New Guard Perfume Collection

Molton Brown New Guard Perfume Collection

If you're an avid Molton Brown fan, you may have noticed recently that their fragrance line has had a makeover! The brand want us to explore their new scentscape to discover a fragrance that truly represents our own individual truth. Whilst this may sound a little out there, if you think about it, scent is a very powerful thing. It can transport you to a point in your life - be it good or bad, in an instant. It can make you feel comforted (perhaps if it conjures up a childhood memory), loved, free, alive - there are so many feelings associated with scent and stages or places in our lives. For me, if I smell a rich authentic rose scent, I am immediately transported back to my Granda's garden when I was a child and the bouquets he gave us to take home each week. Lilac blossom will always remind me of my First Holy Communion mass as I carried a bunch of it to the altar (again, from my Granda's garden). Lemon scents also remind me of my Granda's house as he had some lemon verbena plants beside his front door, but it also reminds me of Trinidad, where my husband proposed to me as we were all doused in a lemon-scented bug repellent daily! There are 27 eaux de parfum and eaux the toilette available in the range so there should be something to stimulate the senses of every individual. I chose Coastal Cypress and Sea Fennel as my fragrance so let me tell you a little more about it.

Pat McGrath single eyeshadow review & swatches

Pat McGrath single eyeshadow review & swatches, Sextrology, Purple Reign, Statuesque

I've said it before and I'll say it again - Pat McGrath is the queen of eyeshadows! That being said, the palettes are hella expensive so I was delighted when I saw that she released single shadows last year. I think that more and more high end brands are realising that people don't want to drop big money on palettes without knowing how the formula works and if it's worth the money for them so this is a great way to try without spending too much (still pricey for a single shadow though!). I bought three - one pressed pigment shadow, one matte and one metallic, to see if they compare to the shadows in full size palettes.

Hello Honey! Bee Yü skincare review & giveaway!

Bee-Yu skincare review, BEE YÜ FIRMING + REGENERATING FACE MASQUE, BEE YÜ INTENSIVE NIGHT CRÉME, BEE YÜ ULTRA-HYDRATING DAY CRÉME, Skincare giveaway

I'm very excited about today's post because not only am I talking about skincare (my favourite topic!) but I also have a giveaway for you! I love when I get the opportunity to give one of you the amazing products that I am talking about so that you can experience them for yourself. The brand in question is Bee Yü, which hails from New Zealand and if you hadn't guessed from their name and the title of this post, their products contain Manuka Honey and ethically sourced bee venom. Both of these ingredients are really effective in firming, repairing and soothing the skin so I was very excited to be given the opportunity to try the three products currently in their line up (and you have the opportunity to win all three, with a value of £240!).

My current haircare routine

Collection Enrich Moisturise Shampoo, Collection Enrich Conditioner, Collection Glitzy Serum, Haircare, Olaplex No 3 Hair Perfector, Coco & Eve Super Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque, Color WOW Dream Cocktail Coconut Infused, Color WOW Dream Coat Supernatural Spray

Every year since I first became ill, on my 'to do/goals' list has been to get my hair into good condition. I used to have really strong hair that grew so fast and it was really dense (a trait for the women in my family on my mother's side) but when I became ill (and also as a result of medication), it became much thinner, lank and just generally dull and lifeless. I have used products over the years that have revived it but sometimes only in the short term. Now, my hair grows really fast (my hairdresser loves me because I get my roots done so frequently!)  and finally, I'm really happy with how it looks. I want to talk you through the products that I have been really enjoying using.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation - dry skin review.

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation Dry Skin Review, Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation Review

I'm back! Sorry for the long pause between posts.  We were on holiday last week and I wasn't feeling too great for the few weeks before we went away so my posting schedule was reduced and then I was hit with the flu when we came back so that explains why things have been quiet around here! I always find that a break (whether planned or not) always gives me great motivation and lots of post ideas so I'm brimming with enthusiasm to get back on track with my schedule of 5 posts per week and I'm starting today with a foundation review. It seems like every brand has a new foundation at the moment and I'll admit that I have bought a lot of them! My excuse is that I finished two recently so I replaced those (and bought some more!). I've been shopping a lot less this year than any other years since I started blogging because I have so many products that I genuinely love so something has to really grab my attention for me to buy it. Whilst August was a spendy month, I don't really plan on buying a lot this month although the Cult Beauty Advent Calendar is calling my name! Have you seen it? The contents look insanely good! Anyway, back to today's post! The foundation in question is Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation
