Father's Day is fast approaching (this coming Sunday, in case you weren't aware!) and although I don't have a full gift guide, I wanted to show some fragrance ideas as all of the men in my family love a gift of aftershave as I'm sure many other men do too. I think a fragrance is a really nice gift to give and receive as many people see these as treat purchases and don't necessarily buy them for themselves. I have four gorgeous fragrances to share with you today; one new release: Azzaro Chrome Aqua (currently reduced in Debenhams) and three classics.
Azzaro Chrome Aqua: We often hear of certain perfumes being summer in a bottle for women, well here we have the male counterpart! It combines notes of grapefruit, green apple, green basil, clary sage and vetiver to create the most incredible, invigorating, fresh scent. It isn't too sharp in the way that some citrus fragrances are and also not as aquatic as Cool Water, for example. It just instantly makes me think of sun holidays and the freshness of the beach air. Housed in a turquoise bottle with white lid, it's the perfect summer fragrance.
Dior Sauvage: This is my favourite scent that my husband has ever worn! It manages to be fresh but also spicy and woody at the same time. With notes of bergamot, cedar, patchouli, lavender and pepper amongst others, it smells masculine but isn't too heavy that it will give a headache. It is't too overpowering but is long-lasting on the skin. I can smell it on my husband a goos 8 hours after he has sprayed it, maybe longer. I love the dark navy ombré on the bottle with white lettering - simple and classic. If you have yet to smell it, you need to and then buy it for your other half!
Lancôme Hypnose Homme: A fresh, spicy fragrance that is suitable for both day and night wear. Notes of beragmot, mint, mandarin and cardamom, combined with lavender, amber, musk and patchouli combine to create a very sensual fragrance that can be worn all year round. Not too warm or heavy but certainly noticeable and pretty long-lasting on the skin. Housed in a twisted bottle, which is pretty unique, this is a classic fragrance that has been around for 12 years and hopefully will be, for many more.
Armani He: A classic fragrance that is 21 years old this year. It manages to be masculine, sparkling, musky and woody at the same time! Notes of apple, cardamom, bergamot, lemon, rose, musk, amber, sandalwood and tonka bean combine with some others to create a very sensual, fresh, woody yet clean smelling scent. It lasts around 6/7 hours on the skin.
