Azzaro Wanted Girl - a hot new fragrance!

Azzaro Wanted Girl Review

I think I have mentioned several times before but I am a bit of a perfume addict! I get it from my mother who is another big fragrance fan. When I was young, I did that thing that lots of other perfume fans will be able to relate to - I tried to make perfume using rose petals from the garden! I can see it in my niece too who always asks for a spray of perfume so she can 'smell nice like my Auntie' - her words! Scents can evoke so many memories - anything rose scented reminds me of my childhood, anything citrusy reminds me of the lemon balm plant that was at my Granda's front door, lilac blossom reminds me of my First Holy Communion when we had lots of lilac on the altar and apricots remind me of the awful skincare products I used in my teens! Finding the right fragrance for you or for a particular time in your life is important. My husband and I like to buy each other a perfume/aftershave in Duty Free when we go on holiday as that scent will always remind us of that trip. If you're in the market for a new fragrance, today's post is for you as it's all about a brand new perfume: Azzaro Wanted Girl.

The male counterpart to Azzaro Wanted Girl was released three years ago, but it was worth the wait for this new addition. It is described as being for women who are pleasure-seekers who stand out with their effortless style and who are playful and love life.  It's said to empower you to live la bella vita and I can see why. It is feminine without being too girly and sweet without being sickly or too young.

The top notes are pomegranate, ginger flower and orange blossom - so far, so sweet, but with middle notes of dulce de leche and base notes of vanilla, tonka bean and Haitian vetiver, I would describe it as a sensual, warm fragrance.  It isn't overpowering in the way that some gourmand fragrances are but if you usually go for quite strong, warm, vanilla/musky/floral fragrances at night, this could be a great day time fragrance for you. I think it's the perfect date perfume as it makes the wearer feel sexy and it's distinctive. I have had so many compliments on the fragrance as it's all I've worn since receiving it. I find that it lasts around 6/7 hours on my skin, which is pretty standard for an Eau De Parfum.

The bottle is designed to look like a flower that is just about to bloom and has silver and gold accents. The honey-hued perfume reflects the warm scent and I love the ring pull design, which releases the fragrance - it's different from most other perfumes.

I think this is a gorgeous fragrance for summer - not too floral, not too sweet but makes you think of warm summer days/nights. I highly recommend testing it next time you're at a perfume counter or picking it up in Duty Free to remind you of your summer holiday.

It's available in 30ml, 50ml and 80ml bottles from Debenhams UK/Ireland, The Perfume Shop and other department stores.

Does this sound like your kind of scent? I'd love to hear!
