3 treats for 3 budgets

3 treats for 3 budgets, Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer Review, Gallivant Nomad Set Review, Overose candles review

It's that time of the month again when you might be feeling flush after payday so I have another 3 treats for 3 budgets post to share with you! Like I always say, you don't need to spend a fortune to treat yourself - I used to treat myself to something on my monthly trip to Boots to collect my medication, which I was prescribed for 22 months in a row. Some months, it would be as minimal as a nail polish, other months it might be a palette or perfume - it depended on my budget but there was always wriggle room for a treat!

Under £21:

Milk Makeup Matte Bronzer:  I'm a big fan of cream bronzers because I find them so easy to work with and they look natural on the skin.  Like most Milk products, this bronzer is in stick form and I personally find it best to rub my brush or sponge over it and then apply to my face but it can also be applied directly to the skin from the stick if that's your preference. Because it's matte, it can be used to warm the complexion up or to contour. It has a lightweight, but creamy, formula that is buildable as the bronzer isn't heavily pigmented, which is a good thing, in my opinion.  It's very easy to create a natural look because of the creamy texture and it doesn't look muddy or dirty.  A great product for the summer months!

Gallivant Nomad Set Review

£21-40:

Gallivant Nomad Set: This is a great little set that was sent to me recently and given that summer is upon us and lots of people will be going on holiday, I thought it was the perfect time to post about it. This British brand has designed a range of fragrances with urban exploration at its core. This set contains six samples bottles of fragrance, which are the perfect size for travelling with hand luggage only but also for popping in your handbag. Each fragrance represents a different city. This set is priced at £25 but if you decide that you like the fragrances, you will receive a code to get a £25 discount on any 30ml bottle.  The cities/scents in the set are Berlin (woody, spicy and citrusy scent with notes of grapefruit, black pepper and vetivert), Brooklyn (citrusy but also musky and a little fresh with notes of lemon, bergamot and cardamom), Istanbul (warm, woody, amber scent with notes of patchouli, bergamot, geranium, vanilla sweet myrrh), London (a green, leathery scent with notes of cucumber, rose oil and sandalwood), Tel Aviv (a warm floral and fruity scent with notes of clementine, bergamot, rose, freesia and sandalwood) and Tokyo (a spicy, woody scent with notes of  bergamot, cardamom, vetivert, cedarwood, amber and patchouli). My favourites are Berlin and Brooklyn. It would make a lovely gift for anyone who travels regularly or for anyone who is looking for a new fragrance!

£40+:

Overose candles: I have tried so many candle brands with varying budgets and, without doubt, Overose are my favourite brand. Simple, yet beautiful, packaging aside, it's the gorgeous scent combination that has me hooked but also the fact that they fill the room with fragrance when lit and it lingers even when unlit. Yes, they are pricey but if you really want to treat yourself or somebody else, you cannot go wrong with one of these candles! I have Anthurium, which combines the scent of rose petals with blackcurrant and lychee. Next on my list to try is Valkiria, which combines the scent of rose petals with sweet tobacco, fig and peach - I can almost smell it already!

Will you be treating yourself to anything this month? Or if you already have, what did you buy?  I'd love to hear!
