You will probably have seen on Instagram, that Pixi recently sent lots of bloggers a gorgeous parcel of products from their Rose Infused range. Everything was housed in a rose print wash bag, which I was delighted to receive because it's roomy enough to hold everything I need when I go on holiday. I had already tried four of the products so was excited to try everything else. It's worth noting that even if you aren't a fan of anything rose scented, you might still enjoy this range as it's quite subtle and a very natural, rather than artificial rose scent. What I really love about Pixi is that the products are high quality but with mid-range prices and they also have mini sizes of popular products, which are perfect for travelling but also if you want to try products without investing very much money.
Rose Cream Cleanser: Formulated with rose oil, avocado oil and chamomile, this is a very gentle and hydrating cleanser. I personally prefer to use it as a morning cleanse as I like a balm cleanser in the evening. It's a light cream in texture and can be massaged into dry skin easily before being removed with a damp flannel. I love that my skin feels clean but not at all stripped afterwards.
Rose Tonic: The perfect hydrating toner, which can be used to balance the skin after an acid toner. It contains rose flower extract, chamomile and elderflower, all of which combine to soothe the skin and add some hydration.
Rose Glow Mist: This is a bi-phase product so you need to shake well before use. It contains rose oil, argan oil and avocado oil among other ingredients, all of which hydrate the skin. This mist can be used in a number of ways - as part of your skincare routine, before makeup to prime the skin, after makeup to set the skin and add some glow, or it can be used throughout the day to refresh and and some hydration.
Rose Caviar Essence: If you have normal skin, this product could be used instead of a serum but on my dry skin, I use it in addition to a serum. I apply it after my toner/mist and before my serum to really up the moisture levels in my skin, yet it doesn't feel at all greasy. Flower oils are suspended within the essence and these melt as you press the product into your skin. Combined with antioxidants that protect against free radicals, this essence injects moisture into the skin and leave it feeling soft, plump and comfortable.
Rose Ceramide Cream: This is a rich moisturiser that I think will only suit those with dry skin, I think it might be too rich even for combination skin, although it might work for evening use. For my Sahara-like skin, it's perfect! It really nourishes my skin, yet it doesn't feel greasy as it absorbs quickly. I find that it perfect to use after acids or peels because it really delivers a powerful dose of moisture, thanks to the ceramides and rose flower oil it contains. I love how it layers well over other products without any pilling.
Rose Oil Blend: I was delighted to receive a back up of this oil because I already knew that I loved it and that it works well for my skin. It contains a blend of sweet almond, rosehip, jojoba, rose geranium and pomegranate seed oils, all of which are extremely nourishing on the skin. I find that this oil leaves my skin feels really elasticized and plump. Love it!
Rose Flash Balm: This can be used as a primer, a mask or worn alone to give the skin a boost of glow on no makeup days. I find it soothing and nourishing on my skin so I leave it on, rather than using as a mask and removing as I love how it feels on my skin. I find that used as a primer, my base glides on over it without sinking in to any dry patches but I also love how it makes my skin look brighter on no makeup days.
Makeup Fixing Mist: Although the spray on this isn't the finest, it's a beautiful product so I recommend holding at a distance. Infused with green tea and rose water, this mist is soothing and smells amazing! It removes any signs of powder or caking so it's perfect to use to set makeup but also to refresh throughout the day.
