Have you been on a low buy this year? I haven't particularly but I have been more mindful with my spending and am consistently using products that have been open for a while and needed finishing, with great success I might add - I tend to do weekly/fortnightly empties on my stories (you can follow me here if you'd like!) I don't like the idea of a spending ban as I like to treat myself to something every now and then, which is why I like doing these posts as I think there is always something nice to buy, regardless of budget! I have three really gorgeous products to share with you this month!
Under €20/£20:
Pixi Rose Glow Mist: You will probably have seen lots of photographs of the fabulous PR parcel of rose products that Pixi generously sent to bloggers a few weeks ago. I am slowly working my way through the products - some I had tried already and others are new to me, like this Rose Glow Mist. I love anything rose scented but even if you don't, you might still like this because the scent is actually quite faint. This mist can be used in a number of ways - as part on your skincare routine, as a primer, makeup setting spray or just to refresh the skin throughout the day. It soothes and nourishes the skin and adds a little dewiness to my base if used over foundation. It's important that you shake the bottle before use because it's a bi-phase product, containing rose oil, argan oil and avocado oil. It really is a gorgeous multi-tasking product.
€/£20 - 50:
Illamasqua Iconic Chrome: These cream to powder shadows are intensely pigmented and apply well with either a flat shader brush or your finger. The texture is so smooth, which makes the application so easy and they last so well on the lids without creasing. These pots will last forever because you only need a tiny bit and one swipe gives full opacity. This is the shade Passionate and there are four others available - I have my eye on the purple next! For a quick, easy eye, you can't go wrong with these.
€/£50 +:
Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming Eau De Parfum: I first had a spray of this last summer and I loved it instantly but even more as the hours wore on and I also received compliments on it so I knew it had to be mine. I love the bow detail on the bottle and that the bottle is quite heavy as it looks and feels luxurious. The scent itself is quite sweet but not overly or sickly sweet. It has notes of rose, peony, blackcurrant, raspberry and musk so it's fruity floral with a hint of woodiness. I would describe it as a decadent and quite sexy scent but it isn't overpowering and I find that it lasts really well on the skin - I can still smell after a good 8/9 hours, which is brilliant but it is an Eau De Parfum so I would expect it to last well. A gorgeous perfume if you really feel like treating yourself or a loved one!
Will you be buying anything for yourself this month? I'd love to hear!
