The A-Z of my favourite beauty products

The A-Z of my favourite beauty products

Two years ago, I wrote The A-Z of my favourite beauty products - post here. I thought it would be fun to revisit it and see if I could manage to find to find a product for each letter of the alphabet again! I also wanted to try not to have any duplicates and apart from maybe 3 letters, they are all new products.  I would love you to tag me if any of you decide to do this post!

A. Aromatherapy Associates Bath Oils: I prefer baths to showers and a bath oil always makes it more of an experience. This brand is a real treat - if I need extra help relaxing or de-stressing, one of these oils and a soak in the bath will always help. Full review here.

B. By Terry Terrybly Densiliss foundation: I love By Terry in general but this foundation is probably my favourite product from the brand. This gives the skin a poreless, airbrushed look with a luminous finish. Full review here.

C. Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks: Again, I am a huge fan of the brand as a whole but I really love the lipsticks as it was the first time I found a matte that was comfortable and non-drying. They are worth the hype! Full collection & swatches here.

D. Drunk Elephant Baby Facial: Everyone can have baby soft skin with this face mask! I always see a difference in pore size and texture when I use this weekly. Full review here.

E. Ecooking Peeling Mask: This is similar to Baby Facial in that it gives instant results. It contains a blend of acids to deeply cleanse and exfoliate the skin, leaving it baby soft and a little pink but this soon dissipates! Full review here.

F. Farsali Jelly Beam Highlighter: This highlighter shakes like jelly in the jar but when applied to the skin it sets like a powder. I like that it doesn't disturb my base underneath and when it sets, it doesn't accentuate fine lines.

G. Glow Recipe Avocado Sleeping Mask: This creamy mask is a real treat for the skin. It nourishes, soothes, brightens and calms and I wait to plump skin with diminished fine lines. Full review here.

H. Huda Beauty: I have tried most products from Huda beauty and really rate them. I have a full post here but if I could only choose one product, it would be her eyeshadows. They are easy to work with (apart from the glitters, which require a separate glue), pigmented and I like that the shade selections are different to most palettes on the market.

I. Image Total Pure Hyaluronic Filler: One of my favourite skincare discoveries of 2018, this serum really lives up to the 'filler' in its name as it plumps the skin, diminishing the appearance of fine lines. It also hydrates the skin but it absorbs quickly and layers well with other products, without any piling. Full review here.

J. Jo Loves Pomelo: Oh how I love this perfume! It's zesty, without being sharp, invigorating and yet has a touch of woody & musky notes too. Stunning!

K. Kevyn Aucoin Nude Pop Palette: This palette is different to most in my collection because it's pretty cool toned and I tend to favour warm tones but I couldn't resist buying it because the shade selection is so pretty. Pigmented, creamy, easy to blend - I love this palette. Review & swatches here.

L. L'Occitane Almond Range: I love L'Occitane, in general, but am a particularly huge fan of the Almond body products. The shower oil nourishes the skin but doesn't leave a greasy residue - skin feels soft and supple and it is particularly good if you don't have time to use a separate body moisturiser. I love the body oil, milk concentrate and hand cream, which means I smell like marzipan and I'm ok with that!

M. Morphe Continuous Setting Mist: I included this spray in my 2018 favourite discoveries post because I haven't used any other setting spray since getting this and I have repurchased it. It has a very fine spray that will not disturb foundation and it adds a hint of radiance but I wouldn't describe it as a dewy or glowy finish. It feels refreshing on the skin and will get rid of any signs of powder caking so it's also ideal for refreshing makeup throughout the day. It's also very affordable at only £15.

N. Natasha Denona eyeshadows: I have tried so many Natasha Denona palettes, but without doubt, my favourite products from her line are her eyeshadows. I actually own 10 Natasha Denona eyeshadow palettes! The price tag can make some toes curl but, honestly, they are worth it (if budget allows). The pan size in the 5 pan palettes is very generous and the texture and pigmentation is up there with Pat McGrath (the best of the best). I can't emphasise enough how creamy the shadows are and how easy they are to blend. They are also very long-lasting on the lid. The mini palettes aren't quite as impressive as the 5 pan or larger palettes so if you really want to dip your toe into the world of Natasha Denona shadows, go for a 5 pan.

O. Omorovicza face masks: I adore the brand, in general, but the masks, in particular. I have raved about the Ultramoor Mud Mask and Midnight Radiance masks here and Silver Saviour mask here. I know that I am guaranteed to see improvements in my skin immediately with any of these masks. What I love most about this brand is how gentle the products are, despite being effective, which is very important when you have reactive skin like I do.

P. Pat McGrath: The brand in general. I have some lipsticks, lip pencils and two eyeshadow palettes. There is only one word to describe them - sublime! Actually, there are more - luxurious, expensive and so many more but basically everything I have tried is the cream of the crop. Reviews here, here and here.

Q. Queen of Hungary Mist: This is a repeat from last time but I still love it just as much! It has the finest spray and the most beautiful scent of rose and neroli, which makes it a real treat to use. I use it as part of my skincare regime but also throughout the day to refresh my skin. Full review here.

R. Rejuvenated Supplements: Beauty starts from within and this range of supplements provides lots of skin loving ingredients in either a capsule or a sachet, which is easy to incorporate into your routine. Full review here.

S. Sunday Riley: I am a huge fan of this results-driven brand. All of the products that I have tried are effective and work quickly to improve the skin. Full review and break down of products here,

T. Too Faced Chocolate Bronzer: I adore this bronzer! It applies so evenly and doesn't look muddy at all, it just give the skin some natural looking warmth. I also love to wear it on my eyes. Full review here.

U. Urban Decay Born To Run Eyeshadow Palette: I love the shade selection in this palette, it's so versatile and I think if I was going travelling for a few months and could only bring one eyeshadow palette, this would be it. The pigmentation and finely milled formula of the shadows makes them so easy to work with. Full review and swatches here.

V. Viseart Neutral Mattes Palette: An expensive, but never ending palette! If you a fan of mainly matte palettes, then you will probably love this one. Easy to work with and very long-lasting, it's hard to go wrong with this palette. Full review & swatches here.

W. Wet N Wild Precious Petals Highlighter: This is a truly beautiful highlighter with a bargain price tag! The formula is smooth and soft, which means that it just melts into the skin and this particular light peach shade is very flattering on medium skin.

X. Xen Tan: The final repeat product! I love how easy Xen Tan products are to apply for an even, streak-free tan! They really are foolproof and they fade evenly, which I love.

Y. YSL Cream Bronzer: Because I have dry skin, I find that cream products are easy to work with and make my skin look fresher. This particular bronzer is a dream because it is so easy to blend into the skin and it seems to blur the appearance of pores and fine lines. I hope that it hasn't been discontinued because I couldn't find a link for it!

Z. Zelens Power D Treatment Drops: The perfect product for stressed skin, as recommended by my friend Anne, from Linda Libra Loca. I apply a few drops after my essence and before my serum and instantly my skin is calm and less tight. They really are wonder drops and they don't cause any piling when layered with other products. Perfect for patches of eczema too as I discovered through my husband.
