2018 Favourites: Skincare

I know it's a clichéd thing to say, but where on earth has this year gone?! It honestly feels like it was only 6 months ago that I was posting about my 2017 favourites! Regular readers will know that skincare is my thing and I am lucky that I get to try a lot of products. I will be posting about my favourite discoveries of the year later this week but today I am focusing on products that I have used consistently this year (or for a number of years in some cases).

Sarah Chapman Intense Hydrating Booster: This serum seriously packs a punch in terms of hydrating the skin. It is oil free but curiously has a silky watery-oil texture that instantly sinks into the skin, however the hydrating effect is felt for hours after application. It can be used as a serum or a few drops can be added to your moisturiser to boost hydration levels. £59. If you use the code LF15, it will reduce the price by 15% on Lookfantastic.

Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream: This moisturiser contains 30% hyaluronic acid, which is in three molecular sizes to quench the skin's thirst. This lightweight moisturiser comforts, hydrates and soothes the skin but it doesn't feel heavy or greasy on the skin. It's the perfect daytime moisturiser for anyone with dry or dehydrated skin. £42 but currently reduced to £37.80 in Debenhams.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair: This product has been consistently part of my routine for around 10 years. I know that I can depend on it to strengthen, repair, brighten and hydrate my skin. A must have product! Full review here. £55, but currently reduced to £49.50 in Debenhams.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex: This new version of Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream does everything I want an eye cream to do - it hydrates and plumps the eye area, softening fine lines and giving the appearance of rested, rather than tired, eyes. It contains 10 times the concentrated repair technology that was in the original ANR eye cream - hence the 'supercharged' in the name! Cooling, soothing, plumping and nourishing - what more could I want? £45, but currently reduced to £40.50 in Debenhams.

Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial: I always have a bottle of this in my stash! This serum-oil is packed with vitamins and anti-oxidants to plump, brighten, firm and nourish the skin, whilst also reducing inflammation. The morning after using this, my skin is calm, glowing, smooth and soft. It's a regular in my routine. £49 but save 15% on Lookfantastic by using the code LF15 at checkout.

Alpha-H Liquid Gold 24 Hour Moisture Repair Cream: I use this moisturiser in the evening on nights where I am not using an overnight mask. It contains both lactic and glycolic acids to brighten and renew the skin, hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin and squalane to repair and protect the skin. It feels quite rich in texture but it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any residue on the skin. It's perfect for anyone who has skin prone to dullness. £51.

Omorovicza Midnight Radiance Mask: I have raved about this mask so many times on the blog that it will come as no surprise to regular readers that I have included it in my favourites post! This mask guarantees me a better skin day the morning after use. It contains Salicylic Acid, which deeply penetrates the pores to clean them, Sand Lily, which brightens dark spots and Red Algae and Hyaluronic Acid, which plump and hydrate the skin. It has a gel texture but it isn't uncomfortable or irritating and skin is left clear and glowing - like after a facial, the morning after use!

Have you tried any of these products? Would they make it into your yearly favourites?
