We can apply all of the products in the world topically but the best way to improve our skin and overall health is through what we eat and drink. It can be tricky to get all of the nutrients that we actually need through our diet so this range of supplements from Rejuvenated are ideal for supplementing our diets. I have been taking the supplements for almost five months now and loving the results so I wanted to share my thoughts with you today and also offer you the chance to win a set of supplements worth almost £120!
I first came across Rejuvenated while browsing Cult Beauty (a daily ritual!) and was intrigued because the products are packed with skin-loving ingredients yet the prices aren't exorbitant in the way that some skin supplements are. Kathryn Danzey is the person behind Rejuvenated and she has been in the beauty industry for over 40 years. She launched the Collagen Shot drinks in 2003 and has since gone on to develop a range of supplements.
I didn't want to take everything at the same time as I wanted to be able to decipher which product was making a difference, if any. I began with Aliol, which is a vegan Omega 3, which the body cannot make on its own. I personally am not a fan of fish so I dread the fishy after taste that usually comes with Omega supplements but this is fish-free so I didn't need to worry about that. The main difference that I have noticed in my skin when taking this product was that I didn't get any hormonal breakouts when my period arrived and my skin felt less dry than it does normally. Of course, I use great skincare products but like I said earlier, products applied topically can only do so much!
We all know that skin regenerates and renews at night but I had never taken a supplement that is designed for specific use at night before using H30 Night Repair. The main difference I noticed while taking this wasn't necessarily in my skin but I am regularly woken my cramps in my legs at night and I haven't had any while taking this. Even my husband commented on it because I usually wake him to rub my calf so he's glad to be getting a full night's sleep!
Whilst taking those supplements, I have also been taking either the Collagen Shots or H30 Hydration daily. Packed with skin loving ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, Trans-Resveratrol and more, H30 Hydration was the perfect supplement to take during the heatwave to combat the effects of the weather on the skin. My skin didn't feel parched at all and I made this part of my morning routine. The contents of each sachet is mixed with around 300ml of water before mixing and drinking. I think this would be an ideal booster to your water to rehydrate your skin after a workout or if you work in an office where air conditioning can wreak havoc with your skin. The Collagen Shots are also packed with skin loving ingredients - hyaluronic acid, zinc, copper, acai berry, vitamins B3, B5 and C and finally, the most important ingredient - 10,000 mgs of hydrolysed marine collagen. I have noticed particular improvements in my nails and (unless I am imagining it) in my lashes since I started to take these shots. Because I have taken them at the same time as the other supplements, I can't say that these alone have made my skin softer but that's certainly the result of the combination of products. Also, it may be a coincidence, but I have a CRP test every 3 months as part of my regular check ups for my illness and it hasn't been in the normal range for years and years - it still isn't but the numbers fell. The only thing that I am doing differently is taking these supplements so I'm wondering if they have helped to reduce my inflammation slightly?
Rejuvenated have kindly offered a set of these supplements so that one of you can try them for yourself!
