I'm not quite sure why I haven't reviewed Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism Palette before now because I bought it last October - I guess I thought that I thought that it would have sold out before now as it was a Christmas release but it's actually still available (and currently reduced) on BeautyBay. Because it's still available, I thought I should share my thoughts in case any of you are thinking about buying it.
Everybody knows that the Modern Renaissance palette was a huge hit for Anastasia Beverly Hills but the Subculture palette was slated by many (I personally didn't feel that it was worth the hate), which I am assuming is why this palette didn't sell out instantly. I know that there were some inconsistencies in batches with the Subculture and I am inclined to believe that this possibly happened with Prism too because I know that my friend Shireen from Reflection of Sanity said that she had issues with pigmentation in her palette, whereas I didn't really have that issue. That being said, not all of these shadows are up to the usual Anastasia Beverly Hills standard. Some of them are the smooth, finely milled, buttery-soft texture that ABH is known for but others are quite powdery.
The palette is comprised of 14 shadows: 7 mattes, 5 metallics and 2 duo-chromes. The shade range is a little odd with yellow, green, lilac and coral mixed with everyday shades of copper, bronze and brown and a palette essential - a matte black! In some ways, I think it would appeal to somebody who only has neutrals in their collection and wants to inject a bit of colour because it has some shades that are suitable for everyday wear with a few more vibrant shades.

On the top row from left to right are:
Lucid: White duo-chrome with a hint of gold. It really doesn't show up very well on my skin, which is disappointing.
Eden: Matte coral - nicely pigmented, not as soft as most ABH mattes but still easy to blend and work with.
Unity: Matte nude-beige in that soft formula that we all know and love from ABH.
Sphinx: Metallic bronze that is soft in texture and has medium pigmentation, which can be built up by using a brush spritzed with Fix + or similar.
Osiris: Metallic deep purple with red reflects. Soft to touch but not as pigmented as it appears in the pan - again, it can be intensified with a dampened brush.
Sphere: Matte bright yellow, which is soft to touch, pigmented and easy to apply and blend
Obsidian: Matte black that is slightly powdery and only moderately pigmented.
On the bottom row from left to right are:
Dimension: Soft, pigmented silver duo-chrome. Pigmented and a dream to apply and blend.
Parallel: Matte warm brown - pigmented, finely milled and a dream to apply and blend.
Pyramid: Metallic bright gold that isn't as pigmented as it appears in the pan but it can be built up. Has a soft texture which makes it very easy to work with.
Throne: My favourite shade in the palette - deep green/black metallic that is so soft in texture than it feels like a cream shadow. It's extremely pigmented and so easy to work with.
Saturn: Matte terracotta that is pigmented, finely milled, easy to apply and blend.
Eternal: Metallic bright copper. Not quite as soft as throne but still not at all powdery. It's beautiful when it catches the light and it can be built up in terms of intensity by using a damp brush.
Lure: Matte lilac-taupe. Nicely pigmented, easy to work with the finely milled texture and long-lasting.
So, who needs this palette? I think that die-hard Anastasia Beverly Hills will obviously want this palette (and probably already own it) but I personally don't think it's a 'must have' for everyone because the shade selection is not very cohesive. I would personally recommend buying some individual shadows and making your own palette because, in general, the formula of Anastasia Beverly Hills shadows is as good as you will find but unless you would use every shadow in this palette (or at least the majority), then there is little point in buying it.
