Festive makeup picks featuring Natasha Denona, Marc Jacobs, Make Up Forever & more!

Huda Beauty Primer, Natasha Denona Foundation X, Cover Fx Illuminating Setting Spray, Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glwo, Charlotte Tilbury First Love, Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir, Make Up For Ever Artist Liquid Matte Liquid Lipstick, MAC, Clinique Beige Pop, Hourglass Ambient Bronzer, Review

I love that at Christmas it's perfectly acceptable to go full on with your makeup whether it's day or night - glitter, highlighter, false lashes and red lips! Today I am sharing the products that I'll be wearing over the next few weeks....

Base: I am really enjoying the pairing of Huda Beauty Complexion Perfection primer and Natasha Denona Foundation X at the moment. The primer is really nourishing on my dry skin and the foundation is pretty full coverage but extremely lightweight. It doesn't look or feel like a mask and it has a natural finish that doesn't break down or budge at all until I remove it. To conceal, I'll be using Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher, which adds coverage without caking or drying the skin. To set it all in place and add some luminosity, I'll be using Cover Fx Illuminating Setting Spray.

Cheeks: The blush that I am obsessed with and that goes with all makeup looks is Charlotte Tilbury First Love. The smooth formula of this blush makes it a dream to use and it just adds a little something to the cheeks but lets either the eyes or lips (or both!) do the talking. Rather than a full on contour, I'll opt for some gentle definition using Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. To highlight, it has to be Cover Fx Custom Enhancer Drops because they add can be built up from subtle to blinding, depending on when I am wearing it! To finish my face, I will add some bronzer with Hourglass Luminous Bronze Light because I always feel that I look better when I'm fake tanned so this will match my face to the rest of my body.

Eyes: I have so many options for my eyes - I will definitely be wearing Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Eye Shadows because they are just made for Christmas! I love that the glitter particles don't fall down into my eyes, the glitter is intense and they are forgiving on lids that are slightly crepey. My other options are Natasha Denona Aeris eyeshadow palette - I love the variety of shades and the texture and pigmentation is second to none - they are so easy to work with and don't crease or fade at all! Finally, I will definitely be using Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette because I can create both day and night looks with this palette and I love the purple tones as an alternative to the traditional Christmas gold and bronze shades. Full review here. I will finish my eyes with Marc Jacobs liquid liner, Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara or, if I'm feeling fancy, Huda Beauty lashes. The liner is a recent addition to my collection but it has blown me away - it literally doesn't budge on my oily lid/watery eye combination. The mascara is my favourite because it gives me the false lash look and it doesn't smudge or flake at all.

Lips: I have three lip options - of course, there's the classic festive red lip and my choice is MAC Ruby Woo lip liner paired with Make Up For Ever Artist Liquid Matte Liquid Lipstick in Red. I love these liquid lipsticks because they are long-lasting, non-drying and really pigmented. I get around 6/7 hours before I need to touch it up and when I do, it doesn't gather on my lips. I also have it in Raspberry, which I'll pair with warm tones on my eyes or a classic gold eye look. Finally, for a nude lip option, my current go-to combination is Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Iconic Nude paired with Clinique Lip Pop in the shade Beige Pop. This combination makes my lips look fuller, it goes with any eye look and is easy to top up when necessary.

I'd love to hear what your Christmas makeup picks are? Do you have many plans for the festive season?

Thanks for reading!

All products are bought by me, unless otherwise stated. The Huda lashes, Natasha Denona eyeshadow and Make Up For Ever Liquid Lipsticks were kindly sent to me. Opinion is always my own.
