Today's Cult favourites of 2017 is all about makeup and this is a category where I could easily get carried away but I narrowed it down to nine and then I will choose just one to be my absolute Cult Makeup product of 2017! Don't forget that you have the chance to win a £100 Cult Beauty voucher - keep reading to the end for details on that!
BECCA Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation: You all know that I am all about a glowy/dewy base because I find it flattering on my dry skin and it also makes the skin look more youthful - this foundation fits the bill completely. I love how lightweight this foundation is (although not quite as watery as you might think from the name), yet it offers medium coverage. The finish is dewy, yet it doesn't highlight my visible pores or any texture issues. I also find it to be pretty long-lasting as I can get a good 8/9 hours out of it before it needs touching up. Every single time I wear this foundation, I get lots of compliments because my skin looks so radiant. £34 for 30ml.
Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Super Natural Concealer: I love this concealer because it offers medium coverage despite being light in texture, which makes it perfect for my dry skin. The light reflecting properties means that it is perfect for the under eye area as it banishes all signs of exhaustion. It doesn't cake or crease at all on my skin and because it contains hyaluronic acid, it's hydrating - everything I want in a concealer! £24 for 4.4ml.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand: I have fallen hard for this liquid highlighter because it adds a very sophisticated glow to the high points of my cheeks. It isn't metallic or holographic but it can be built up from a soft, subtle glow to a more intense 3D highlight. The texture is lightweight, which means that it doesn't disturb my foundation when I apply it. Another winner from Charlotte Tilbury. £29 for 12ml.
BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Champagne Pop: This has been a favourite since it was released because the champagne colour really suits my skin tone and the buttery soft texture means that it's easy to apply. There is absolutely no glitter in here so it just adds a beautiful sheen to the skin. It s a very pigmented highlighter but with a light hand, it's perfectly acceptable for daytime wear and it can really be built up for a 'seen from outer space' look! £32 for 8g.
Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder: Because I have dry skin, I have never been the biggest powder fan but since receiving this for my birthday, my mind has been firmly changed. It blurs the look of pores and fine lines - I never used to set my under eye concealer because powders really aged the whole area but this works perfectly for me and it doesn't cake at all or enhance fine lines. It lives up to the airbrush in the name because it makes my base look polished, without being overly matte or at all flat. The packaging is stunning (as is everything in the CT line). Can Charlotte Tilbury do any wrong? £33 for 8g.
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner: I've lost count of how many times I have repurchased this because it works so well on my eye lid/watery eye combination. It is really black in colour, it doesn't fade, it doesn't smudge or break down but I also don't need to rub hard to remove it at the end of the day. The fine tip allows for precision and I can either do a fine line or a full cat flick with this liner. £14 for 0.5ml.

BECCA x Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette: I really love this palette. It contains one bronzer, one blush and two highlighters. The texture of all four powders is as creamy as you'd expect if you have tried any of their products previously. This means that they are so easy to use and blend into the skin rather than sit on it. The shade selection in this palette is most suited to medium/warm skin tones and although the blush is shimmery, it doesn't highlight the visible pores in my cheek area. The highlighters are rose gold and peachy/coral in tone, which work really well with the blush. Also, the packaging is stunning and it contains a large mirror. Becca know their stuff when it comes to face products! £45 for 15g of product in total.
Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette: I couldn't do a favourites post and not include a Huda Beauty palette! The mini obsessions palettes are a great way to try the formula without breaking the bank, but this Desert Dusk palette is where it's at for me! I love the variety of warm shadows in here but it's the purple that really drew me in and what makes it very different to other warm toned palettes on the market. With the exception of the glitter shadow, I find all of the shadows easy to work with. They are smooth, soft, pigmented and easy to blend. There is a little kickback in the pan but nothing too major. I love the variety of finishes - mattes, shimmers and duo-chromes and there are endless possibilities for creating both day and night looks with this palette. I'm now tempted by the Rose Gold palette! This is £56 for 25.2g.
BECCA Liquid Crystal Glow Gloss: Lip toppers have really had their moment this year and because I am a glossy lip fan, I knew I needed to try one. This shade is Champagne Dream x Bellini, which is a soft peachy shade with gold shimmer running through it but it isn't a full on metallic lip. It can be worn alone, over lip liner or over a lipstick to either change the tone slightly or make the lips look fuller. It feels nourishing on the lips and whilst it doesn't last very long, it can be easily topped up on the go. £18 for 5g.
If I had to choose just one of these products to be my Cult Makeup Favourite of 2017, it would have to be the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand because it is so easy to apply and I love the sophisticated glow that it adds to my skin.
Would any of these make it on to your makeup favourites from 2017 list? I would love to hear what your Cult Product of 2017 is?
