I no longer do monthly favourites posts but when I find that there are products that I am using pretty consistently, I want to share them with you, which is what I am doing today! These are the products that are my go-to, and they are all also easy and quick to use so on days where I am unsure what to do with my makeup, I use these products!
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Vol 3: This is my current obsession and with good reason! Have you ever seen anything prettier? I love using Dim Light all over my face and both blushes work really well with my complexion. The consistency and texture of Hourglass powders is hard to beat - they're really finely milled and blend really well so they don't look obvious and never cake on the skin. Full review and read how you can win one for yourself here.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour/Highlighter Duo: As you can see from the photo, I am well on my way to finishing the highlighter part of this duo. The highlighter is the most beautiful champagne/rose gold shade, which is so flattering and the formula is a dream to work with as it doesn't disturb my base underneath. The liquid contour is brilliant for adding some quick definition in a natural way so it's perfect for daily use and it's almost impossible to go wrong with it.
Although I own lots of palettes, for a quick and easy eye look (can we sense the quick & easy theme here?!), I love one sweep shadows and Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise in the shade Veruschka and Natasha Denona Chroma Crystal Top Coats are perfect for this. Veruschka is a grey/minky shade with a hint of gold cream shadow and I find that it is flattering on my green eyes, easy to apply and blend and once it's set, it doesn't budge. The Natasha Denona product can be used on it's own all over the lid or as a shadow or lip topper. It is a powder to cream formula - the buttery soft standard that Natasha Denona is known for. This warm bronze shade would suit every eye colour but there are also three other shades available: nude, peach and grey brown. Post on the entire holiday collection coming soon!
To bronze my face up a little, I adore Make Up For Ever Pro Fusion Bronzer - it has a soft texture that means it applies and blends evenly - not too obvious and neither orange nor muddy. If you are new to bronzers or they scare you, I would highly recommend this one as it's easy to use and super-flattering.
For my brows, I find the YSL Dessin Des Sourcils great because the formula isn't too waxy or stiff and whilst the nib isn't the finest, I find it easy to achieve defined brows with this pencil. I then set them in place with Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel. I got this mini tube as a perk using my Sephora points and I'll definitely buy the full size when I finish this because it sets my brows completely but it's weightless and doesn't make them crispy.
On my nails, instead of wearing traditional berry shades, I've been switching between Butter London Patent Shine Gel in the shade Toodles, which is a beautiful deep purple colour, and CND Vinylux in the shade Cashmere Wrap, which is a beautiful creamy nude - it's the perfect nude for me because it isn't too cool toned. To make sure that I get a full week out of my nail polish, I use CND Vinylux Weekly Top Coat. This gives my nails that glossy salon manicure look and my polish lasts a full 7 days and possibly longer if I didn't want to change the colour. I find that I need two coats of both polishes to achieve full opacity.
Have you tried any of these products? What are your current go-to favourite products? I'd love to hear!
