New fragrance releases with Fragrance Direct

Each season brings a flurry of  new fragrance releases and this summer has been a particularly good one because there are so many to choose from so no matter what your taste, there is something for everyone. Fragrance Direct kindly sent me four of the newest releases and I want to share my thoughts on them with you today. Fragrance Direct is always my first port of call when I am buying perfume or aftershave because everything is always discounted and they offer free UK delivery on orders over £20 (free overseas delivery on orders over £75) with the code FREEDEL20. They sell so many brands from celebrity fragrances to Marc Jacobs to Tom Ford - something to suit all budgets.

First up is Emporio Armani Because It's You Eau De Parfum, which is the one I was most excited about trying because I have had so many Armani fragrances in my collection over the years and loved them all from Acqua Di Gioia to City Glam (remember that one?!) to She to Diamonds. As soon as I sprayed this perfume, I was hooked because I adore anything that contains Neroli and this perfume combines Neroli with notes of Vanilla, Raspberry and Rose - the result is a very feminine, musky, sexy scent. It isn't overly sweet, cloying or heavy, making it perfect for both day and night. Because it is an Eau De Parfum, it is long lasting - I can still smell it on my skin after 6/7 hours. The R.R.P. of this 100ml bottle is £87 but it is reduced to £73.95 on Fragrance Direct but it is also available in 30 and 50ml bottles.

The next new release is YSL Mon Paris Eau De Toilette, which is pink in colour, housed in one of the prettiest bottles I've seen with a delicate lace bow attached to the gold YSL logo - simply stunning and it screams femininity! The fragrance inside is sweet, fruity and floral with notes of blackberry, raspberry, peony, jasmine, patchouli and white musk. It reminds me of Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream but lighter and airier if that is even a word! The R.R.P. of this 30ml bottle is £43 but it is reduced to  £36.50 on Fragrance Direct. This is also available in 50 and 90ml bottles.

I absolutely adore the bottle with the third eye that Kenzo World Eau De Parfum is housed in. The third eye is a spiritual symbol, which represents protection from above and it is in the design on the outer box and the bottle itself, with the lid shaped like an eye lid and it is ridged to represent eye lashes. The fragrance itself is floral and fresh without being zesty with notes of jasmine, peony, amber and musk. I think it is a very sensual fragrance but it isn't too heavy so it is suitable to wear both day and night. The R.R.P. of this 50ml bottle is £63 but it is reduced to £53.50 on Fragrance Direct. It is also available in 30 and 75ml bottles.

Finally, I have Prada Candy Gloss Eau De Toilette - housed in a candy pink bottle that is shaped like a high end lip gloss. This is an intensely sweet and fruity fragrance when first sprayed but after a while it settles and smells almost like marzipan. This is due to the notes of cherry, rose and almond - an unusual combination with produces a very intense, warm, heavy, sweet and unique scent. The R.R.P. of this 30ml bottle is £44 but it is reduced to £37.95 on Fragrance Direct. It is also available in 50 and 80ml bottles.

I hope that I have done justice to these fragrances as describing scents is no easy task but hopefully you have an idea of what they smell like! Which do you like the sound of most?
