My MAC Lip Pencil Collection with swatches

Much like my lipstick collection, MAC is also the brand that I own most of when it comes to lip liners. I have always worn lip pencils because my bottom lip is fuller than my top lip so I like to even it up with liner without going too Kylie Jenneresque. I really like MAC lip pencils because they aren't too stiff in texture so they don't drag on the lips, are pigmented, comfortable to wear, pretty long-wearing and they offer a huge variety of shades

I own 10 MAC lip pencils; 8 from the regular line and 2 from the Pro Longwear line, which is even creamier than the regular line, extremely pigmented and, as the name suggests, very long-wearing.

The shades are as follows (top row left to right):

Oh Honey! (Pro Longwear) - A warm-toned peachy-fleshy nude. Pairs beautifully with Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips in Kim K-W.

Cherry - A bright, slightly pinky-red. Pairs well with Nars Cruella or Charlotte Tilbury Lost Cherry.

Edge To Edge: - A blue-toned dirty pink. Pairs well with Creme Cup and Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips in Liv It Up.

Stripdown: - A brown-toned nude. Pairs well with Velvet Teddy.

Boldly Bare: - A "my lips, but better" pinky/coral-nude. Pairs well Velvet Teddy.

Bottom row left to right

Rebellious (Pro Longwear) - A pinky-purple-berry. Pairs beautifully with Rebel and Nars Fanny.

Ruby Woo: - A blue-toned red (good for making your teeth look whiter!). Pairs perfectly with Ruby Woo lipstick (obviously!).

Spice: - A brown-terracotta shade with a hint of pink. A true 90s lip shade that I've repurchased several times. Pairs well with Velvet Teddy.

Soar: - A mauve pink. Pairs beautifully with Brave and Mehr.

Subculture: - A dirty peach. Pairs really well with Clinique Melon Pop.

Of course, all of the liners work well with more than the lipsticks mentioned - I can make them work with a lot of lipsticks within my collection but I thought it would be helpful to mention some in case you have them in your collection and are looking for a liner to work with a particular lipstick. MAC is now sold on Lookfantastic with free worldwide shipping and directly from the MAC site. The regular liners are priced at £13 each or £15.50 for the Pro Longwear range or from Brown Thomas here, priced at €17.50 - €20.
