It's not that often that I end up disappointed by products that I buy because I do a lot of research first and love to read reviews from bloggers I trust, but sometimes a dud slips through the checks and I have four of them here today. What makes these products even more disappointing is that they are from brands that I generally love!
The first product is the most disappointing - it is Natasha Denona Contour Powder. I bought this in the Beauty Bay summer sale and initially thought it wasn't showing up on my skin because I was just back from holiday and was quite tanned and the shade I have is Light but the reality is that there is zero pigment to this product. The texture is fine but it literally cannot be seen on my face. It's bizarre - her eyeshadows are extremely pigmented, as is the blush duo I have so I can't fathom why this has zero pigment! Have any of you tried it?

I'm a huge fan of Hourglass powder products but I've been disappointed by Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick but to be fair, I don't get along too well with stick foundations in general. I have tried different primers and application methods but the result is always the same - it just sits on my skin and doesn't look natural at all. So many people say that it blends seamlessly but that just doesn't happen for me!
The next product is love/hate - it's Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Mascara. I love the false lash effect it gives - I achieve really long, black, voluminous and dramatic lashes BUT I hate, hate, hate how it smudges on me after a few hours. It smudges on both my eye lids and under eye area - panda eyes are not a good look!
It really pains me to say that I'm disappointed by Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Mask In Oil. Regular readers will know that my number one skincare product is Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair serum so, naturally, I was very excited when I heard that they were releasing this product. The oil simply isn't nourishing enough for my skin - my skin feels dry the morning after using it and looks parched - it jusr does nothing for my skin, which is a real shame!
