Now that Spring has finally arrived, I have rotated some of my makeup and put my most Spring-appropriate products in the top drawers of my Muji storage. Today I want to share the eye, cheek, lip and nail products that I will be getting most use out of over the coming months. I tend to go lighter with my base and introduce more pinks for Spring.
Honest reviews, regular hauls and all things beauty.

Daughter of the Soil Body Butter - luxury, cruelty free beauty with a purpose
One of the perks of writing a beauty blog is that brands get in touch to let us know about their latest releases and offer samples. I would say that I refuse as many, if not more, samples than I accept because I only like to feature products that I would spend my own money on to keep the authenticity of my blog and I always make sure to take the time to read through the information thoroughly before accepting a product. Sometimes the press releases are exciting, sometimes there is nothing new or innovative about the product but every so often, a product will come along that grabs my attention and this is one of those products and the brand story is one that I think all of you will love. Let me introduce you to Daughter of the Soil.

10 high end products worth the hype/splurge featuring Marc Jacobs, YSL, Hourglass & more!
It's no secret that I'm a lover of high end beauty products - it's an accessible way to add some luxury to your life if you don't have €1k + to drop on designer handbags or shoes. Similarly, not everybody wants to spend €50 on a makeup product but for those times when you feel like treating yourself or somebody wants to buy you a luxury makeup gift, it is handy to know what it worth splurging on. Today, I am sharing the 10 products that I believe are worth the splurge.

The new eyeshadow brushes in my collection featuring Sigma, Callanberry and Nima
I haven't been happy with my eye brushes for a long time - I owned around 20 but some had seen better days and others I just never used, so I kept 3 and binned the others! I kept a MAC 239, MAC 217 and a Sigma pencil brush. Obviously, unless I want to wash my brushes on a daily basis, these 3 brushes were not going to be enough for me so I decided to order some more but instead of going for the obvious MAC or Real Techniques, I decided to treat myself to some others I had wanted for a while.

I loved the sample so much, I bought the full size featuring Hourglass, Charlotte Tilbury and Alpha-H
We've all been there - bought products that disappointed and then wondered why we had wasted our money and what we would do with them because, unlike in the U.S. we can't return opened products here in Ireland. This is why I love deluxe samples of products - I can make an informed decision/purchase or just disregard a product that didn't live up to the hype. The three products featured here today were purchases made as a result of loving a deluxe sample and I am delighted to now have the full size in my life.

Currently loving #2 featuring Dermalogica, Oskia & more!
As you may have noticed, I am no longer doing monthly favourites posts because I just basically began to find the whole format a little boring. Instead, I am posting some favourites as and when I feel like I want to include them on the blog because it feels more natural to me, and today is one of those days!

The A-Z of my favourite beauty products
I saw a similar post on From Roses a few months back and it got me thinking that whilst I often say that I must have an eyeshadow in every colour under the sun, I must also have a product for every letter in the alphabet so today I have complied my favourites for each letter (some brands, some specific products) and I would love to hear what your favourites are too!

My Spring fragrance picks featuring Jo Malone, Sarah Jessica Parker & Chloé
Despite the rain (lots of it!) and chilly temperatures, there is a definite touch of Spring in the air and a very welcome stretch in the evenings. This has got me thinking that it is time to pack away some of my winter woolies, burgundy and berry lip colours and nail polishes and strong, musky perfumes and begin replacing them with pastels (in terms of clothes), pinks (in terms of lip and nail products) and lighter, fresher scents. Today, I want to share the perfumes that I will be reaching for most often over the coming months.

Brand Focus #2: Natasha Denona
Following on from last month's first brand focus post, I thought that I would choose a makeup brand for my next post to switch it up a little. I lusted after Natasha Denona products for months before Beauty Bay began to stock them and as soon as I tried the first eyeshadow palette, I knew that it was a brand that I wanted to explore more. I don't have the largest collection but have tried enough products to give you an overview of the brand. The packaging is quite simple - I like that it is white, rather than black or gold like a lot of high end brands, although the eyeshadow packaging could do with being a bit sturdier.

Five fab overnight skincare treatments you need in your life featuring Pestle & Mortar, Dr Botanicals & more!
My night time skincare routine is one of my favourite parts of my day - sad as that may sound, it's true! I love the ritual of a double cleanse and then depending on what my skin needs on that particular day, I will follow up with a number of different products. Today I want to share some of my current favourite overnight skin treatments - I don't wear them all at the same time but sometimes do like to layer them to up the ante.
