Empties & Speedy Reviews #24 featuring This Works, Clinique, Origins, Nivea, La Roche Posay & more!

I'm back with another empties & speedy reviews instalment! I'm delighted that I have pretty much kept to my resolution of using up products before opening or buying more. With skincare, I tend to have a few products of the same type on the go but they are always used up these days whereas I used to be so bad at opening products and then just moving on to the next best thing and was left with shelves overloaded with unused products! I have a mix of skincare, bodycare and a few miscellaneous products to share my thoughts on today so let's get started!

Skincare:

Pixi Glow Tonic: I have gone through countless bottles of this AHA toner, which speaks volumes for how much I love this product. It keeps congestion at bay and it helps to keep my skin soft. It contains Aloe Vera, which is soothing and I have never had any adverse reaction to this despite my skin being sensitive. I have already repurchased & can see myself repurchasing repeatedly for the foreseeable future.

La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume: I always have this in my collection because when my skin is really parched or inflamed, this is perfect for soothing it. It's quite thick in texture so I wouldn't wear it during the day but it is perfect for overnight and it really helps to repair and soothe. I will repurchase in the future.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye: This is a 5ml sample pot that was in a gift set I received for Christmas but it lasted quite a while. I really like the balm/gel texture of this eye cream and paired with Advanced Night Repair Serum, it helps to plump the skin in the eye area and leave my skin hydrated, diminishing the appearance of fine lines. I have two other eye creams on the go at the moment, but I will repurchase in the future.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask: I love this mask, it has a very fruity scent and a small amount of this goes a very long way so this tube has lasted me a long time. It is the perfect overnight treatment for anybody with dry or dehydrated skin because it really hydrates the skin and the next morning, my skin is soft, plump and comfortable. It isn't sticky so I don't need to worry about having to peel myself off the pillow or having my hair stick to my face! I will definitely repurchase.

Origins Plantscription Powerful Lifting Cream: This is my 3rd or 4th tub of this moisturiser and I really love it. Like I have previously mentioned, my skin is dry and dehydrated, and this cream provides more than adequate moisture and makes my skin look very plump but not greasy and is perfect for use both day and night. I love the Plantscription range because all of the products really suit my skin and I will definitely repurchase in the future.

Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray: I first tried this hydrating spray around this time last year and I have repurchased several times since then. This is so much more than just a water spray because I can actually feel the moisture on my skin when I use this. It is so effective when used after an exfoliating toner, before applying make-up or just for general refreshing and hydrating throughout the day. Another definite repurchase

Bodycare:

Nivea Q10 Plus Firming Body Lotion: There's barely a month that goes by when I don't have a Nivea body lotion in my empties post because I have been using Nivea lotions for years and I find them very moisturising, non-greasy, and they absorb quickly. Because I can't go a day without moisturising my body, I tend to only use budget body lotions and I think that this is one of the best I have tried. I have already repurchased.

Chloé Body Lotion: I absolutely adore the scent of this body lotion - it is fresh and floral at the same time. It smells luxurious and sophisticated without being over-powering. I received this as a gift for Christmas and would absolutely love to own the matching fragrance. I'll put it on my birthday wishlist!

Clarins Body Lift Cellulite Control: This is a sample tube that I received from Debenhams, which was part of one of their Gift With Purchase promotions earlier this year. I used a full bottle of this before my honeymoon and when applied correctly (massaged), combined with clean eating and some exercise, I did see an improvement in my cellulite. I may repurchase in the future.

Miscellaneous:

Dr Lewinn's Renunail Strengthener: This is an absolutely brilliant product. I bought it when all of my nails broke after using a really rubbish base coat. I have used it periodically over the last 17 months and each time, I have had the same truly brilliant results. My nails are so strong, with no peeling or brittle feeling. I would highly recommend it to anybody who suffers with chipped, weak or broken nails. I have already repurchased.

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray: I adore the This Works Deep Sleep range and this was the first product I tried from it. I have gone through several bottles of this and it is brilliant if for anybody who has trouble dropping off. The only reason I won't be repurchasing is because I love the newer version: This Works Sleep Plus + Pillow Spray, which I have also finished. The reason I prefer the newer version is that it not only helps me to go asleep, but it also helps me to stay asleep for longer and I now have unbroken sleep, which used to be the bane of my life! I have already repurchased.
